Niamh shook her head when Clover thanked her for talking. It wasn't the first time she'd tried to be reasonable with one of the Blackthorn family- but it was the first time she'd actually been given the chance to explain herself, and redeem her reputation a bit. "I try to not be too much of an asshat. On occasion, sure, yeh, it happens." She said, with a small chuckle. "Gets the best of us sometimes, I think." She said. After all, she'd leapt to Screech's defense when they'd been way too close to a den with pups- so she'd definitely put herself in the wrong place at the wrong time and had chosen the wrong pack of wolves to argue with...That was full of asshattery.

She was surprised to hear that Clover didn't want to fight all the time...She'd gotten the impression that that was pretty much all she wanted to do- but then again, she was learning quickly how much they'd both misjudged each other. "I guess. I just like the idea of keeping the borders safe, and escorting others on missions. I'd try not to fight as much as I could avoid it." She said. That was her understanding of the mercenary position, anyway- that violence would always be a last resort. "We were taught a bit of everything, kind of- I mostly just did bird hunting and guarding...Guess just because I'm tall," She said, with a chuckle. "These legs gotta be useful for something." She said.

It wasn't the worst meeting in the world- and Niamh found herself finding a small amount of respect for Clover who, it appeared, wasn't such a monster after all.
