At first, she was surprised Tegan didn't have the same kind of ambition to lead that Ambrose did....But then she thought about it for a moment, and it totally made sense. Tegan, though he seemed pretty plased to have a task to perform, and wasn't lazy, didn't seem like the type who would want to lead simply because of the responsibilities it demanded. The same way he wasn't really interested in sparring, maybe- it had something to do with asserting dominance, and she imagined that that was simply a bit too uncouth for him. She had yet to really figure out how Tegan worked, and wasn't sure she was getting any closer- but at least he didn't hate her for it yet.

She shrugged, when he posed a question. "I dunno. Didn't really want to try and lead a bunch of losers," She said, with a laugh. "That was totally the appeal to Ambrose- he knew they'd follow him just because he could make shit up on the fly. They were kind of...low hanging fruit, y'know?" She asked. It wasn't the total truth- sure, they'd been impressionable yearlings, but she'd mostly just left because she didn't want to stop travelling.

The trip from the Caldera, it seemed, didn't seem like it was as much fun as she'd anticipated. For some reason, he'd more or less been grounded, from the sound of things, even though this was familiar territory. "Why'd she pin you down if you knew the area?" She asked. "Because you used to sneak out anyway?"[/b]
