He felt torn between scrutiny — he'd lost the fight, was young, and Ame would have her pups soon which made him feel protective — and desparation — they did need wolves to take care of business while he was caring for Ame and Ame was caring for the pups.

But all of those doubts were swiped off the table by Hydra's next comment. "Osprey's?" he said, his eyes widening in surprise. Then he remembered the promise that he had made to her. "You are welcome here," he said, but then he could not help but ask; "How is she..?" He remembered the last time he had seen her, he remembered what she had told him...
