It was now or never.  Soon the snows would come and travel alone would become a whole lot more dangerous.

Stupid.  This was so stupid.  Thuringwethil had allowed her in, patched her up and allowed her rest.  But she could not become what this pack wished her to be, and did not want to.  She was ill-suited to this place with its defined trades and responsible bearing, and for one who preferred open and irreverent communication, the faces of the packmates she'd seen so far subdued her.

Perhaps she hadn't tried hard enough, and perhaps she owed it to Thuring to try harder, but she would not.  Life was short and she wasn't about to shove herself in a badly fitting hole and try to make it work.  Likely the leader was the only one who would miss her anyway.  She hadn't exactly made friends here.

She considered simply departing, disappearing into the wind without a second glance, but in the end she couldn't burn a bridge like that.  So she lifted her muzzle and called a farewell to @Thuringwethil.  If the woman came to catch her before she could leave, then perhaps Roz could at least express gratitude.  But either way, she deserved to know that her hospitality had been enough.  Rosalyn just wasn't, not for here.
what do i do after all this survival?

There is calm within Thuringwethil as Rosalyn’s call is made. She stops what she is doing in the geyser field to look in the direction the sound had come from. There hadn’t been a concrete vibe from the woman, even from the first time they met on Nova Peak, but they both upheld their promise. The risk the woman is taking, just before winter, gives Thuringwethil a little worry but it is clear enough that this is not the home for her. She wants to feel something spark within her, to lead her to anger, but she cannot find it anywhere. Rosalyn had paid her dues in repayment for her safety and seeks to move on and so, after a moment, she lifts her head and howls in return: may we meet again.

it never belonged to you in the first place
