He reciprocated her caresses and Olive melted at his touch, as it felt so natural and so normal! It was like the past week or so had simply not happened — that she had not lost her husband and the entire life she had known, all in one blow. Olive laughed and Dakarai laughed and they kissed until finely they could be no closer to one another; and even then, the dark night managed to pull her even tighter and pledge his love to her. It felt good, very good, and for the first time in a long time Olive felt an emotion quite foreign: hope.
