Nodding to Liffey's suggestion, his find his attention fleeing to the depths of the woods. Despite the nagging need in the back of his head to his attention on her. But, with the task on hand, Rannoch, unfortunately, had to divide his attention for now.

Since he had been following her trail, Rannoch had not taken into consideration the scent of prey. But, with their new agenda at the forefront of his mind, Rannoch scented the air by inhaling deeply. It seemed as though the duo had a range of options, but there was an oddity amongst the midst that struck out to the blue-eyed leader: beaver. Though it made sense the nearby Creek would attract beavers,  Rannoch had not considered it. But, regardless of what had been expected, he felt as though it was the slowest option for them to practice hunting.

"How about beaver?" He asked, drawing his tongue over his chops as he turned his attention back to the wolf of the Caldera in an attempt to get her perspective on the matter.
a crime so old as the sky and bone
he came untied, solid as a stone
all is almost lost and it starts to show
