Northstar Vale you break me up

There was a shift in how Nikai addressed the mute woman before him and Rannoch caught on quickly. "Ah, yes, Keoni," he corrected himself with a sheepish smile. Though the variance in names wasn't that drastic, Rannoch wasn't sure which one she preferred. He watched her for a moment, as he wondered this, but was given no implication of her preferences. When this happened, Rannoch's attention was back to Nikai as he began to elaborate on the background of their visit. 

"Of course. We couldn't leave her out there after what happened," his expression grew sympathetic as the subject matter shifted briefly. "But, now, she's family and will always be welcomed back. You as well, Niaki," he offered as his characteristic sunniness returned to his eyes. "I'm glad you guys are here," he offered warmly as an afterthought. 

Though he wasn't sure of how far Easthollow was from the Vale, Rannoch assumed it was a considerable journey. "You guys must be hungry. Do you need anything?"
