Otter Creek Do unto others

The dark wolf on the opposite bank acknowledged Wraen's presence - first it did not seem that she liked her arrival much, but then her expression changed as the idea came to her mind. The girl had caught the intensity and the important of the look she was given and with a furrowed brow tried to understand, what was going to happen next. 

In a swift movement the other wolf charged at the unsuspecting creatures, startling one of them and in it's attempt to fled to safety it ran directly at Wraen. She did not have to be told twice then - instinct kicked in and with little second thoughts she attacked the animal, managing to grab it and pin it down by the lower part of it's spine. 

She held on, while the creature squirmed, unable to let go or procede, hoping that the other one would join in and help to finish the deed.

I googled and it turns out that otters are no small animals. They can be around 1 meter in length.
