Please allow @Magpie and @Leaf to respond first! The trio is just outside of SS territory, but I wanted to make the thread here so you could see it. :)

Fox was unhappy with the fact that Ferdie and Jace still lingered so close by. So she had gathered her two closest (by proximity) wolves and told them to follow her. She had not stated specifically where they were going (or why), but had simply told them to come along as she commanded it. They would find out soon enough... once Fox told them of her plans when they were closer to The Sunspire.

When they neared the looming peak, Fox halted and did a one-eighty to face her two companions. One was her double, and the other was only a youngling. An odd trio, indeed. “I have brought you here because this pack, the one that lives on The Sunspire, is not welcome to settle so close. We have attempted diplomacy, and they refused it. So I want them to know that we are not to be trifled with. Alas, I do not expect you to be warriors marching into battle. We are merely here to piss on their borders and then leave. No doubt, one or two of theirs will show up, but when that happens, we shall run.”

A dead wolf was useless to her, and there was no cowardice in running when it was clear the odds were not in your favor. Not that Fox always had the mind to realize that.

Leaf did not know where they were going, or why they were going, but going they were. She could only speculate that it had to be some kind of training opportunity, considering Magpie was with them. Never mind the fact that this meant the leader had grouped her with a pup. The little red wolf could concede that her skills were--well, in need of development. She readily admitted this to herself as frequently as she could. Her pride needed as much help in being small and unobtrusive.

It was only until the Sunspire Mountains began to loom above them that Leaf began to resist. No, anywhere but there! Had it been a mere week since she had encountered Jace? Maybe more time had passed, but it had been difficult to differentiate the days when each one was filled with anguish. Feeling turmoil once more bubble in her chest, she was positively stunned by what the leader then commanded. She wanted to laugh and cry at the same time. She settled for a wry grin.

Looking at Magpie and then to Fox, Leaf opened her mouth to speak but decided against it. There should have been no reason as why this command would be difficult for her. Marking territories and borders was quite natural for a wolf. But maybe she was not a wolf, or maybe she just happened to fancy a particular wolf who would not appreciate her wolf-liness. It would be like urinating on his face!

Breaking out into a nervous laugh, she positioned herself over one part of the borders, and looking to Fox for any last minute words, began to demonstrate her loyalty to the pack in fits of squirts and streams.

Magpie was accustomed to doing what she was told without question — here, at least, where she still felt so knew. One misstep was likely to cast her outside of the safety a pack, something she couldn't afford to risk. This was not the safety net of her family. This was life amongst outsiders, the cruel and heartless. She was a slave, and the female known as Fox was her master. Not knowing whether she was following her Alpha to her own execution or to a fat, meaty carcass, the youth moved submissively and obediently.

However, as they moved closer and closer to the creek's edge — and then beyond, toward uncharted territory — Magpie's gait grew more excited and her posture more confident. Her youth was unable to hide her eagerness for adventure and the unknown; she would stifle it as soon as one of her companions made eyes that told her she was being too much, but the energy would slowly creep back into her step despite herself.

When they reached their destination, Magpie halted and her posture grew more alert. She was not in a position of challenge, necessarily — still under a year of age, the little black-and-white wolf was clearly no match for either of her companions — but it exuded more confidence than she had shown since her initiation to the creek. Her green eyes scanned the landscape, nose tasting the scents on the wind. Before Fox spoke, the youth could already infer that a pack made their home nearby.

Unlike Leaf, Magpie had no ties to the wolves that lived here — though she had met someone that vaguely reminded her of the scents littered in the area. So, following her pack mate's lead (and perhaps not quite realizing the severity of such vandalism), Magpie did her best to mark the area as Fox commanded.

Lol, been wanting to reply to this for ages while waiting for the other two. Trying to get Red’s Warden Trade, along with the fact that she’s extremely territorial/ protective/ loyal to SS to a fault.

Red was doing her rounds along the mountain that day, marking trees, bushes, and the ground with her scent. It was hard work, as the Sunspire had a lot of unpredictable ledges and areas that could easily become rockslides if she wasn’t careful with her footing. However, she was small and light, so she didn’t have to worry as much as someone like Jace that she was going to come tumbling down the mountain. Still, she was always overly-cautious. It was her way. It kept her alive. What good would she be to her pack dead? There were too many who were counting on her to look out for them. At least, this is what she thought. In her mind, it was her sole duty to do all the work and none of the play. She was loyal and hardworking to a fault, and that might end up getting her into trouble one day.

So that is why, when she noticed an odd scent on the wind, and followed her nose down the side of the mountain, and saw three wolves whom she didn’t know squatting there pissing on her border, she charged the rest of the way down, skidding and slipping like an idiot and not caring. She stopped just short of nose-diving into the ground, cutting her paws on the unforgiving rocky surface of the Sunspire, and immediately righted herself, her fur prickling and sticking up and out along her body. These wolves were obviously not here to join the pack, and if they were, they were stupid for pissing on its borders and she would teach them all a lesson.

Her tail shot up over her back, a sign of dominance, and she growled deep in her throat, lips pulled back and tongue-tip sticking between her teeth. All of these things gave a clear message: “What are you doing here? Leave now or I will make you.”

Fox just has to torture Jace doesn’t she lol :D

Jace had been following behind Red without really meaning too. He was a regular patroller of the borders and he was at them numerous times a day. Jace heard her skitter and skatter down the mountain side and he wondered briefly why until a scent filled his nostrils it was Leaf first because he knew it well and he was about to call to Red as his heart began to beat rapidly. Only to have it freeze and stop as Fox’s smell reached him too and with a growl he surged forward. He ran down the mountain sliding and rocks falling as he leaped from ledge to ledge and he landed with an almighty bound and a growl to the ground.

Snarling he didn’t even stop to breathe he just ran straight at Fox his blue eyes lowered in anger and they held a ferocity that could scare the saints. Leave now Fox or I’ll rip out your pretty little throat out. He continued towards her intent to attack whatever he could reach. She had earned a permanent place on his shit list with her constant pissing on his borders and keeping leaf in her devil fucking creek and he couldn’t take it anymore. He was a man on edge and he was fighting to stand erect. He snapped jaws at her shoulder or face whatever was closest. He’d deal with the other two later, but for now he wanted the leader on a silver platter.
I am more easily attainable for threads now. But please do bear in mind that I have three children under the age of five at home. And they do take up a lot of my time.

They did as she commanded, without question. It was a boost to her ego, that was for sure, and Fox smirked at the sight of them before moving alongside Magpie to let her own hot piss hit the ground. The whole show was so terribly satisfying to the ruddy girl, and she couldn't help but feel that rush of excitement at doing something that would surely rile her rivals. Saving up some reserves, Fox moved just a few feet away from Magpie to deposit another mark along the ground, stopping to sniff her previous one as she did so. If the wolves of The Sunspire refused to move, Fox would refuse to give up. It was as simple as that.

Her head snapped to the incoming red-furred girl, and Fox let out a throaty growl in response. If she had known exactly what the girl was saying, she would have thrown in a mocking laugh. Ferdie and Jace (or was it just Jace now?) were the ones who had been asked to leave, and they had not heeded the warning. And so Fox did what she had to do: let them know who the real boss was.

“Run!” she whisper-shouted to Magpie, although Fox had no intentions of running herself. She assumed that Leaf would be scampering back to the creek soon enough, but Fox couldn't help herself. She knew the best course of action was to do just that... but when Jace made another big show and commanded her to leave, she knew it wasn't going to be that easy.

Instead, Fox let out a hearty snarl, ignoring Jace's words, and leaping toward the red bitch with her teeth open. Unfortunately for her, Jace was on her quicker than she expected, and the creek Alpha was knocked over by his hulking figure. She yelped in response, but was back on her feet quick enough. She feigned to the right, and then darted to the left, heading directly for the smaller red wolf she'd never even met before.

Hope it's okay if I pop in with my little creeper... :x

<style type="text/css">.Summer01 b {color:#587c95, font:12px calibri;}</style>

Today probably was not the best day for Summer to be attempting to shadow the pack's Beta wolf--a fact the young wolf came to quickly as he came upon him just as he was lashing out at a strange red wolf he had never before seen. He had just come to a stop as his friend had come into view, about a quarter of a mile away. The smile that graced his face was brief, for he was quick to sense the tension in the air, and even quicker came the beginning of a fight.

The Demonte-Ostrega froze in place, caught between two opposite and immediate reactions--one to run away, and another to run in and help (Fortunately, in moments where the adrenaline pulsed in his veins, it pushed his anxiety into non-existence). The Ostrega in him urged him forward into the fray to bravely help his friend, but the sensibility that came from his mother held him in place. What good could he do in a situation such as this? A thought came to him, and he prowled forward a few yards to act on it.

Summer kept his distance from the fight, but the desire to at least be a witness for his pack as to what happened was strong in him. He was ready to leap in if required, but his faith in Jace's ability held him at bay. Eyes of ripe lemon scanned the line of strange wolves that had come to disrespect their land, landing on a wolf similar to his own age and size. At least there was one Summer could take if for some reason he needed to. The call sounded from the red wolf--he assumed their alpha--for them to leave, though, so Summer held tight and watched with trepidation for his packmates, hackles raised defensively as the battle unfolded.

Magpie was cute. Leaf could almost feel her excitement as they relieved themselves on the borders. The pup's own obedience made it seem as if their act of defiance was just, if not something worth being happy about. Dragging herself, the little red wolf decided she would leave a literal trail along the borders, but it was as she was attempting to decide on a design that border patrol finally came crashing in.

Leaf mirrored Fox's motion and snapped to attention. Falling backwards as she reflexively obeyed the leader's command, she did not go far before realizing that Fox was not moving. It was at that same moment that she instinctively moved to cover Magpie, who though a juvenile was still a pup in her eyes. She yelped when Fox was pushed to the ground and then snapped at whoever had attacked her.

"You jerk!" she spat as she realized that the whoever was Jace. Feeling rage at his attack--and at his mere existence--the little red wolf lunged at the big, black wolf, hoping to catch him as he recovered from his collision with Fox. She aimed to catch him on the shoulders, where she would hopefully push him off-balance. Though she knew little about her Alpha, she knew Fox could certainly take care of the coywolf. As for the big, black wolf, she claimed all rights to [destroying] him.

Lol, I'm having fun, and Magpie is useless. Feel free to hurt her a little, just nothing too crippling/major. <3

NEW ORDER: Fox → Summer → Leaf → Magpie → Amekaze → Red → Jace

Although a juvenile and technically a teenager in wolf years, this whole situation was one that was brand new to Magpie. It lit the rebellious nature that lay in wait inside of her; this was something the Corvidae never would have done (which is probably why the little bird didn't know how bad it was), but here was the wolf that took her in allowing her to do something that seemed somehow incredibly against and incredibly in line with her nature. As Fox moved to relieve herself nearby, Magpie offered a tentative grin (lol, awkward teen is awkward) which erupted into a shy, wolfish giggle as Leaf suddenly joined in with a burst of inspiration.

It was then that chaos came down on their heads; the pack they were in the process of insulting had come to intervene. Mid-piss, the little black female scrambled to come out of such a prone position (likely spraying urine everywhere, sorry guys) to firmly put herself behind her two older chaperones. Leaf moved in to protect her at the same time that Fox told her to run, and Magpie darted away... at least until she saw Fox being admonished by a large male. The teen froze, definitely not wanting to get in on a fight that would potentially kill her, but feeling like she probably shouldn't just abandon her pack mates.

So, she remained where she stood and bristled, doing her best to look threatening while her green eyes watched the fight break out before her.

hope i'm not too late to join in a little! i was eyeing it last night before y'all hopped in. (i'm on my junky laptop so i'll make this quick)

Amekaze was not the first to the scene, but when she arrived, it was plain to see what was happening already. The scent of Swiftcurrent piss burned her nostrils and she sped up accordingly to find a small handful of Sunspire wolves already engaging the Creek ones. Another curious turn was the presence of the small female she had met a time ago, the one Ame had been.. enamored by, and perhaps just because of her language skills and the allure of her mystery, but that was nothing more than extra weight to the edges of her frown here and now. With Fox among them, Ame didn't find time to consider the implications of her having joined the Creek.

Jace and the coywolf she had scented now and again were already busied. Another, one she had no name for yet, lingered nearby to show extra force should they need it. Ame only saw three Creek wolves, one of which was a juvenile..

So she was left with no choice. She sped towards the teenager with a low growl bubbling forth once she was near enough. Amekaze had seen wolves younger than this die in wartime, her siblings among them, so she was not reserved. It was Fox's fault for placing her in harm's way like this, when the red-furred alpha surely knew the Sunspire were not going to be peaceful in response. Her eyes settled on the youth and a pointed look followed. You should listen to your leader, she thought to relay, but had no place for words here. Amekaze had heard Fox tell her to run and yet, here she stood. But look at where that has brought you... she mentally sighed.

The dark wolf aimed her teeth at the juvenile, planning to get a hold of her scruff or something in near proximity. If she were able, she intended to toss the youngling down to the piss-covered dirt and go from there. Assuming she did not take the hint and run first. Which Ame hoped she would so that she could be done. She would lend her backup to the coywolf then (Fox was the most wily problem here, after all), as she believed Jace could overpower the little female well enough.

OMG I would have responded to this sooner if I could have kept the posting order straight in my head! I forgot I went after Magpie because new people kept coming in, lol. I was about to add in the new posting order then saw Magpie already did it. Thank you! I was so confused! Also, I don’t mind Red getting hurt, but by no means do I want fatal wounds, please.

Too many things suddenly happened at once, and Red felt her senses overwhelmed with the smell and sound of six different wolves all moving and attacking at the same time. All she knew was that someone had just tried to attack her and that Jace had stopped whoever it was. And then she moved around her Beta to see a tiny red-furred wolf — though bigger than her — scrambling back to her paws. So this is who had just tried to attack her. Hm. Red could take care of her.

With a snarl, she lunged for the wolf named Fox, though she wasn’t aware of the name. She was going to put the bitch down for even thinking of starting a fight. Anger at the fact that the female had tried to attack her did not even cross her mind. Her only thought was of the Sunspire, its pack, and its borders. She had grown far too attached to this pack for this shit to go down now. She would die to protect it, and this little she-wolf would learn that the hard way.

As she began her fight with Fox, things went on around her that she took no notice of. Leaf attacked Jace. Amekaze joined in and went after Magpie. None of these things even registered to Red. All she saw was Fox and her imminent demise. She would not put up with bullshit, and she was about to prove it. She could handle pain and fighting. It was in her instinctual makeup. She shut off all thought and took a mighty swipe at Fox, hoping it would land across her face and send her flying backwards…

Jace blinked as the imp spoke sharply to him. He hadn’t wanted to even go near the little imp, hoping that if he did go after Fox and got her down the others would leave. OF course because the gods hated him for some unknown reason, and having felt the need to thus far make his life a living hell, they just added more to it. Thank you god or gods or whoever the hell took care of the world as it was, thanks so much was his irritating thought. The imp collided with his shoulder and chest, momentarily pushing the breath from his lungs not that there had been much there since he had seen her here anyway. He stumbled a little bit and twisted his paw and yelped softly, and then turned towards her with a snarl and a snap of his teeth. He wasn’t planning on hurting her, he was just pushing her.

He snaked his head down and tried to shove his head into her side, winding her and rolling her hopefully if the move was done right. However, with his gimpy paw at the moment from some sort of rock fissure that he stepped in, his weight was a bit unbalanced, but he’d die fighting before he fell down, and made himself vulnerable to attack. Not that he really hadn’t already since he wasn’t truly fighting with the imp, this just sucked. Fox would bring his Achilles heel to a brawl.

He muttered under his breath about Imps and broken and fucked up and continued his straight bull doze towards her.

I have not read all the posts so please forgive me if I bowl someone over

Ferdie had been off entertaining another wolf, attracting them to join the Sunspire when really he should be protecting what he had. Upon his return he heard fighting and he thundered across the ground to get there, His hackles raised and his wide open mouth belting out a bear like roar that'd fill the air. He scented Fox before he saw her and the thought made him made but oddly more logical thinking rather then attack first and ask questions later. When he came from behind the scene he began assessing quickly.

They thought they had attempted diplomacy? they had not, They thought Ferdie attacked a pup? He had not! they thought him a monster? yet here was Fox with a pup, a 6 month old. She brought it to a fight she started; knowing what her own reactions would be to these actions on her own boarders, she knew when she hadn't ran with the pup, that she had wanted this fight and she brought a 6 month old to the fight that she clearly wanted. The pups in her care were not safe Ferdie's mind was blown,
Ame was attacking yet protecting the pup in one go. The pup was young enough Ame could practically just carry it deeper into the territory and not let it go. Keep it captive and keep it safe. But for now those thoughts left him he had other problems,

Ferdie's howl split the air calling the rest of the pack to ATTACK attack ATTACK but in the same Tune he told the two young wolves Summer and Nightingale Watch if you must, but stay back, run if the fight comes your way! @Kodokuna @Vienna @Renothe @Luna @Suka @Nightingale

JACE!! He roared changing to verbal words DO NOT HURT THAT FEMALE Ferdie was unable to see if Jace was actually fighting with the female named Leaf or not and all he knew was the last thing Jace needed right now was more regrets, and his well voiced command could be heard over the din, It was a command for Jace alone he would not stop Ame or Red or any other pack mate from Ripping Leaf to shreds but that could not be Jace's fault.

Jace! FOX! We defend against FOX!! Ferdie was behind the group having been away from the Sunspire when this broke out so he was behind Fox though not trying to come by surprise by any means he had thrown out many commands at his pack and expected them to be followed.

Ferdie Von Pelt's bulky form was back and in prime condition. He snarled and launched his bulk at the petite wolf Fox, his teeth aiming for her back, the back of her neck was his goal but any flesh would do.
Ferdie didn't want Fox to leave. Not alive if he could help it. This should end here!

A couple of paragraphs were tweaked because I just couldn't understand them myself, let alone anyone else reading them,...

Once again, in case none of you know, Aryn IS my character, so I'll be playing her as well. If anyone has any objections, I will be perfectly fine posting on her profile, just tell me, please!

And since the owl is joining the fray, she will indeed take a few hits(most likely) but the worst I will accept is a dislocated wing! Nothing else, please!
Nightingale flicked her ears up at the howl, and her blood ran cold. She shook her head at Ferdie's request. Ferdie, I will stay back. But I will watch , and be at the ready. With that, the novice healer picked up a folded leaf, and within it, a small stock of basic medical supplies. She called for Aryn.

The owl flew in, eyes in a panic. "I hear the battle already. we need to hurry, young one."

With that, the juvenile nodded, leaf in the mouth. "Aryn, if you must battle with them, I won't stop you, but I need you to listen when I am in need of more supplies. You are the quickest courier. If I howl for you, I want you to fly back here and get some more of these folded leaves." Nightingale motioned with her tail at the line of leaves, on top of each a small set of herbs required for cuts and wounds.

The owl nodded. "Of course! No wolf can run faster than a flying owl! Not on terrain like this!"

The two set off at a brisk pace to the fighting. Watching from afar, the small wolf looked down upon the battle with dismay, setting down her leaf. "Oh no..."

The owl, however, immediately flew in the battle and zeroed in on the small red wolf that Aryn assumed to be Fox, considering Ferdie had yelled her name out and charged towards her. The owl went in for a kill-spiral and lengthened out her talons, not even bothering with a battle cry. If she doesn't look up, or notice my shadow, she won't even know what's coming.

Talons outstretched, Aryn, the Mist of the Storm, headed straight for the small red alpha's back, planning to sink her claws into the soft fur, and past that, muscle.

Vienna was, it seemed, one of the last to the fray. She had barely been within earshot of the call, however, when it went up, and her heart still raced from the exertion of her sprint to get here in time. As it was, she didn't even slow when she reached the scene, instead heading straight for the red she-wolf who was currently attacking her brother.

She fully intended to catch her off guard and knock her off her feet if possible. Fox and Magpie would certainly be busy enough with the rest of their pack. She wasn't too fond of fighting, but she wasn't about to let Jace fight without backup.

She had no clue about Jace's relationship with her or she may have hesitated. As it were, she was going to defend her brother's new homeland no matter what.

Danica knew she probably shouldn't have come, but really, was it her fault that she happened to wander past the Sunspire border as Fox, Magpie, and Leaf got there? Could she really be blamed for such bad timing? She hadn't been one of the invited ones, but having nothing better to do, she wished to offer herself up as some backup. For the good of the pack, of course.

It was a good thing she had, though, It wasn't long before the trio were set upon by what seemed to be the entirety of the enemy pack. Danica growled, running from the spot that she had chosen as a vantage point towards the fray. She wasn't about to sit this one out. Snarling she went after Red, for Fox seemed to be the one who was set upon on all sides. She wasn't too worried about Magpie... the girl was young enough to garner sympathy. Leaf didn't seem to have as many going for her either, so hopefully she could hold her own. Danica wondered if anyone else had gotten the same idea and followed. She hoped so, the could use more even odds right now. At least every one of their packmates was worth three of these Sunspire curs.

New posting order: Summer, Leaf, Magpie, Amekaze, Red, Jace, Ferdie, Nightingale, Vienna, Danica
This is also my last post in this thread. :)

Neither of her comrades heeded her words, and for a moment, Fox wondered if they had heard her. But she had told them beforehand that they were to run the moment things got to be too much. And with Sunspire wolves coming in from every direction, this was Fox's definition of "too much." And yet... she was proud of them both, in a way. They may have been stupid, but they certainly were brave. It was well known that Fox lacked the brains that so many others had, and she was not ashamed to have Leaf and Magpie here by her side.

All at once, Fox was surrounded, and she could not count the number of wolves who were trying to get a piece of her. "I must be popular," she thought madly, snapping this way and that to keep them at bay. But she knew she could not do so forever, and when a moment presented itself, the small spry yearling darted into an opening. She had thought for a moment that she was free, making it out without so much as a scratch... but today was not her lucky day.

Ferdie's jaws locked onto the skin on her back, and she struggled to free herself. Wriggling and writhing like a fish out of water, Fox ripped herself free of his grasp, surely leaving a nice deposit of fur, skin, and blood in his mouth. If there was pain, she did not feel it. Her only goal now was to flee, and the young Alpha did just that, barking at Leaf and Magpie to do as she commanded. If they remained, they would be ripped to shreds. Fox hadn't even noticed the arrival of Danica, for her entire being was focused solely on getting her back to the safety of the creek.

I'm gonna be good today! Only one post while I'm at work! SO DON'T BE INTERESTING TILL FIVE, OKAY?

<style type="text/css">.Summer01 b {color:#587c95, font:12px calibri;}</style>

Summer's eyes darted around the scene as it progressed, swiftly growing more and more dangerous as more and more joined the fray. He felt the adrenaline rising in him, along with desperate concern and a fierce, fierce desire to protect his packmates. He held himself at bay as long as he could, but when he spied Amekaze joining the fray to go after the young one Summer had picked as his target (if he had to have one), the Ostrega brashness in him snapped his reserve, and forward he drove with a snarl.

Well. Sort of.

Somewhere along the lines, his mother's soft nature screamed at him, causing him doubt which turned his path of destruction off to the side. He circled around the fray until he found himself a few yards behind the green-eyed Creek wolf opposite his own packmate. Obeying his alpha's command, it was there he planted his feet, made himself look as big as he could, and snapped his teeth at her in a menacing (yet completely harmless) way.

Likely, he looked like a complete fool, being all legs and fur and awkward, but the boy did his best. At least if his packmate did intend to try and take this one captive, he maybe could do something helpful like.. flail at her.

When Jace twisted his ankle, Leaf froze. Even though she had meant to hurt him, she realized it was the last thing she wanted. His shove came soon afterwards and sent her spiraling into the air, and if chance would have it, she would collide into the oncoming Vienna. If not, she would be spent sprawling onto the floor. Yelping aloud, something painful coursed upwards her spine. There was some command for Jace not to harm her, and it began to dawn on the little red wolf that she knew several of these wolves--and even liked them. However, the sight of Ferdie streaking towards Fox and taking out a heavy bite dismissed such loyalty conflicts and sent her reeling back into the fight.

But Fox's command was clear. Hoping to use the big, black wolf as some kind of basis for a vault, she circled back towards Magpie. She hoped to cover for the juvenile if possible and would not leave until she knew she was safe. On the way, she encountered a screeching bird and an awkward juvenile. Even Danica. She approached the former two with fangs before trying her hardest to find a way to have everyone retreat.

I'd like Magpie to escape, but I'll probably have one last post depending on whether Summer causes any damage (again, totally cool with whatever, as long as it's minor). Edit to say that I'm OK with Magpie being taken as a temporary captive.

There was suddenly a burst of activity, and Magpie took a few steps backward instinctually. Her hackles were still raised, and she still tried to look as menacing as a six-month-old could (not very), but fear was beginning to creep into her features. She didn't quite grasp that it was entirely inappropriate for her leader, Fox, to take her to such a potentially life-threatening situation — but she knew that the rebellious fun was suddenly over and the light-hearted pissing had ignited something much more serious and dangerous. In the chaos unfolding before her, Magpie could hardly follow what was going on; much less notice that she was being targeted. She gave a nervous, fearful whine, and took another step back.

It was then that the dark female was suddenly in her face, teeth bared. Magpie had missed the pointed look, so focused on the combat of all the others. Just before the older wolf might have gotten a solid grasp of her nape, the juvenile scrambled to dart away, tail between her legs. The clumsiness of her youth interrupted any speed she might have had, and she felt her attacker's teeth painfully cut the scruff near her shoulder. In the flurry of this moment, Magpie did not notice the other juvenile come behind her — if she had, she would have chosen another path. As it was, the rival teenager was directly in her way; she might accidentally charge into him if he wasn't quick enough to dodge, and she was definitely close enough to take a hit should he choose to attempt one.

Desperately, Magpie searched for a pathway through the small tangle of wolves that surrounded her so she could follow her retreating Alpha home.

hope this isn't too awkward. :3 emalee, do what you gotta do with this lmao
<style type="text/css">.ame {margin:auto; width:530px; text-align:justify;font-size:11px;} .ame q {color:#7a2638; font-family:georgia;font-weight:bold;letter-spacing:1.3px;} .ame p {margin:0px;text-indent:30px;}</style>

Behind her, more Sunspire wolves arrived and while she could not give them much attention, she knew that Ferdie was among them. The juvenile on their side had seemingly followed her lead and joined in as well. Even the owl, Aryn, had come to lend her claws to their cause. It escalated quickly to chaos with an accompanying chorus of yelps and snarls; she found herself stuck among the tangle of youthful inexperience and black fur.

The Creek youth had avoided serious harm and slipped from Ame's immediate grasp. However the escape was far from graceful and she pursued in turn, using the interference the Sunspire juvenile created to her hopeful advantage. But, Ame was not excessively aggressive in her pursuit, as she felt it would only be overkill here. She stole a second to glance around past the bodies nearest to her, assess the happenings and saw Fox beginning to take her leave. Leaf also hovered nearby but she could not yet tell if she would become an active threat or, like Fox, take off and run.

Which was what she decided she would prevent this youth from doing in this moment. This could prove to add an interesting turn of events, should this work.. It looked to her that Fox was ready to ditch her if things went south from here, so Ame took the initiative to aim for another grab on the green-eyed Creeker, this time with more intention to pin her down and keep her in place. Her jaws went for her back and she kept a forelimb ready to sling over her if she could to aid in rooting her. If she wounded her some in the process, so be it, but she wanted the juvenile on her side to take the hint too, and perhaps help in any way he could by hindering the Creek juvenile's flight.

Amekaze got the sense this one was not going to make it easy, and as slippery as awkward young ones like this could be, she did not want to draw excessive blood, much would depend on the actions of the youth. She could go peacefully. Or relatively so. If Ame could get her pinned, stationary, and essentially scruffed, this would not be too difficult. But her confidence was growing by the second. With the Swiftcurrent alpha taking off (good riddance), Ame knew more Sunspire attention would be spared for the one she had (hopefully) kept behind.

Lol okay so normally Red would be against taking captives, but she’s totally overwhelmed and confused right now by everything that’s happening… so yeah. Sorry @Magpie Also sorry this is so short, I’m not sure what else to add to Red’s post since… she can’t really do anything else to help the “war effort” ATM.

Red watched the Swifcurrent Creek Alpha retreat and snorted, both with contempt and satisfaction. She had done what she needed to do, and that was to protect herself and her pack from the one that Ferdie had yelled at them to defend against. Now that she was staring at the enemy’s backside, she wasn’t sure what to do, so she turned to see who among her pack was still fighting. Amekaze, a wolf she knew to be part of the pack, though she had never met her, seemed to be trying to hold down the juvenile that had come with Fox. She wasn’t sure what for, but by the gods, Red would help her.

The coywolf lunged forward and towered over her little black-and-white-furred half-cousin. She would not get into the fray of holding her down if she could help it, as she would probably just end up getting in Amekaze’s way. Instead, she decided to keep on her toes just in case the little one made a break and tried to escape. That way, Red would be right there to grab her and drag her to the ground again. And there she stayed, staring as Ame and Magpie struggled back and forth, waiting for an opportunity to be helpful.

jace near about had a heart attack when leaf took a tumble he hadn't meant to hit her that hard but she was so darn little. He surged forward to see fox running a huge chunk out of her hide he grinned in slight satisfaction he ran well limped towards leaf growling he got close enough that he could speak. get the hell out of here Leaf just go ok I promise I won't let anything happen to the youth just go the hell home for now. you need to go now unless you want to become a captive too

Jace turned towards his pack members then and limped forward to help Ame. His back hurt, his heart hurt and now his footpaw hurt all he needed now was Leaf to attack him completely and it'd be a whiz bang of a grent ending to an equally wonderful day. He growled quietly to himself as he went forward.
I am more easily attainable for threads now. But please do bear in mind that I have three children under the age of five at home. And they do take up a lot of my time.

For the second time in this many months Ferdie was left sanding with a mouthful of hide and no wolf to show for it. It had much to show for his strength a the sheer terror of the wolves he sought to bring down. But he also knew with a mouthful of hide missing from Foxs neck she'd need to be tended to.

Quickly he assessed the situation the pup was covered but there were two more wolves running amuck one that was heading for Red and one that was heading for Ame.
Ferdie charged toward Danica meaning to plow into Danica and send her flying, Hoping to catch her off guard since her attention was on Red,

His charge Danica strategically placed himself between her and Red and by proximity Leaf, Ame and Magpie.

Jace THIS ONE Ferdie snarled staring at Danica through the mouthful of Foxs' hide. Send this one back to pass on the message that we have captives! if they come with brute force to attack us the captives will pay. I want Fox and only Fox back here. He didn't say how the captives would pay he was not an evil wolf, though handing some captive's over to Lector made for a pleasing idea.

Ferdie then circled Leaf and did not allow Leaf to leave making moves to cut off any escape route she tried. His stride longer then hers, the terrain more familiar to him, and the loose rocks below his paws he was used to and so didn't slip on them like an inexperienced non-mountain wolf might.
Vienna!! anyone else cover this one! don't let her leave and either destroy the messenger or send her home, if none return the message will be clear enough. He spoke as heartlessly as he could, taking a page from Foxs book, though he had given the option of just running the intruder off, Death was not a necessary defense measure. By saying what he had it gave the younger wolves Summer and Nightingale the opportunity to help out and surround their new captives. Perhaps the 'insane' owl might go after the wolf they wanted gone though Ferdie fleetingly hoped that Aryn would hang back and not get hurt on his behalf.

He hoped that would be enough to send Danica packing, he didn't need the whole swiftcurrent creek pack on his door step. He stared down Leaf, his facial expression stern and unforgiving. His large brutish form made larger by his puffed up chest and raised hackles if he had to make a grab at Leaf he would but she should be able to tell he wasn't trying to hurt her; Unless she forced his paw.

I would like to make an announcement!
From now on, Aryn will not be joining physical battle. The CMs have asked me to not have her in battle, as it can tip the scales and become rather unfair. I see where they're coming from, so I completely understand and agree.

However! Aryn is allowed to be a messenger and courier still! So, if we ever need that kind of help, she'll be happy to do so.

The creamy half-blind wolf leaped into what little action she could. She stepped in beside the wolf known as Summer- rather, jumped in. And though she was by far the smallest one there, she tried to be as menacing as possible, with her tiny teeth flashing as she growled at the new captives, covering what little escape route she had left.

Meanwhile, Aryn flew down and took her place on top of Nightingale, hooting proudly. "We chased most of them off, and got a few captives in the process, eh?" Her tongue in wolfish was indeed fairly fluent by now. She turned to Ferdie with mild concern. "You, alpha, have a lot of discussion with me, if you don't mind. I'll bet my tail feather's this has happened before. You might need to... Let's say, 'mirror their actions'."
