The Tribe Pack Summary
The Tribe is a cooperative, protective group of coyotes, coywolves, and other hybrids which are bonded together under a simple and common creed: do no harm to one another. Wolves are tolerated by some members and avoided by others. Every part of the ravine lends itself well to lookouts, scouts, and unseen eyes. The moment a traveler steps foot here, they are watched. The Tribe will respond to invasion or threats as the moment demands, up to and including injury
A broad, winding river seated between two imposing — and nearly vertical — red stone faces. Travelers will find few footholds, but those brave enough to try might find the layers of rock gradually give way to a natural staircase that extends on for miles. Large arch formations provide a much-needed respite from the elements towards the river's end, where shrubs and even small trees have found the requisite conditions to flourish.
The ravine is home to diverse flora and fauna, from flowering cacti to the leaping pronghorn. Hares, pika, lizards, snakes, quail, and the occasional mule deer herd all provide sustenance to those who dwell inside the ravine. The reward for traveling beyond the rocky, dangerous curves of the river is the paradise of red sandstone formations, windings of desert rose, rambling wildflower meadows, and a tangle of moss-hanging forest studded with palms. The breeze here is fragrant and at night, wide belts of thickly populated stars light the ravine.
