dinah was born in the late spring of 2023 to young caracal and heda in a small, close-knit family; the love of God being her birthright. a devoted, worshipful, and sheltered child she was, tied to her brothers and her island home with a bond that seemed unshakeable.

but then everything went to shit.

a fabled woman alleged to be a witch had left her children with a young couple, and by the good grace of the man everett, the quartet came in a bundle to sweetharbor. nurtured as they were, eight children at once put strain on caracal and heda; caracal had developed a secret drinking problem which led, ultimately, to an accident involving ava. heda, upon learning of this, took the children and ran — and caracal was unable to forgive himself for the damage he'd done to his family.

dinah, her mother and her siblings returned to find caracal cold in towhee's arms.

after this, sweetharbor was no more. the children scattered. heda, dinah and ava traveled as a trio to noctisardor, where they struggled and starved through winter — until the arrival of druid and glaukos made the sundered family somewhat whole again. rivenwood began under a new generation of leaders.

but things had changed. heda took a new lover in a man named anselm and produced a second litter, much to the chagrin of her daughters; and so dinah, unable to make peace with this, fled rivenwood. while traveling, she met a boy by serendipitous chance, and now feels a blooming fondness for him — soon after, while on a spur-of-the-moment trip to visit the isle, she reunited with her beloved brothers judah and simeon. but the isle is not what it used to be; suffocated by memories, she begs judah to leave with her, and he agrees. sweetharbor is no more, but now they hold in their hands the opportunity to heal and to prosper.
