All Welcome
the tiny herd thrived.

fancy was an apt leader, directing them to fresh grasses and water aplenty. selenia allowed herself the pleasure of lying down to sleep from time to time, though one ear was flicked always for silverbirch.

a pair of bluebirds called to one another. selenia watched them, placidly chewing a mouthful of ferns.

horses were big kicky loud angry paw-stompies and were not to be trusted approached hunted ever.

however.

tk had seen one smaller and thinner-legged than others keep close to a milkleaky big, which meant it was a foal and a foal was not a horse. which is why it wasn't called a horse. therefore tk could break rules tk set which to admit were weaker rules than not peeing indoors or chewing table legs because tk didn't know how to summon the spray bottle.

heshe now saw before-mentioned horse milkleaky laying where spookywoods ended and open flat runningland began, legs tucked so horse could get up and run away quick. okay. tk only needed check for where foal was now. very stealthy. very very super stealthy.

hssh hssh hssh sound as shehe crawled through the underbrush.

doesn't have to be a long one ;)

not wolf. not — coyote. not fox.

ear flicked. nostrils flared.

selenia held quite still, then rose with as much grace as she could muster, sensitive to each flicker of wind upon the leaf, the grass, the earth.

had silverbirch gone back with fancy?
