Porcupine Ridge Your rainbow will come smiling through

All Welcome
The early morning sun started to peak through the spires.

The round winding rivers pulled her in for a cold drink.

There were new faces around.

She'd watched carefully.

The shade girl dropped a small skin of things filled with many trinkets of sorts. A warrior's handbag of trophies and awards. A meadowlark's skull and flight feathers. Many unidentified little bones and fur patches. Some sharpened bits of rock that were good for jabbing things, which wasn't particularly useful, but they were neat to look at. Dried acorns and some bitter tasting berries.

They were the most fascinating things to her.

A small collection now, but one day it'd be big enough to really say something, maybe. Each a piece of memory. Her favorite was the meadowlark, though.

She lapped the cool waters and a foggy breath exhaled.

pakasqa wouldn't know it, but she looked a shade of a past relative as she trickled out from the eldritch trees, feet light. stealth had only ever been her covenant, and here in the ridge, such assets were encouraged.

but it was more than @Aventus' slinking gait that made itself known in pakasqa; it was the seriousness of her expression as she slouched close to the girl supping water.

she sprung upon the peltskin and whirled away with her prize on spidery legs, nearly startling herself when the skin's contents rattled in disapproval.

spinning, her tail bobbing jauntily, pakasqa turned to the tawny-downed she-wolf and lowered her forehand in the universal expression of play.

the peltskin was nudged back towards its owner, pakasqa's eyes glittering with prankish humor.
