All Welcome
Sea Hunter and his siblings were quick on their way to being two weeks old. They grew swiftly and kept their parents busy, but things were about to get busier

The first of Tullik's brood had opened his eyes.

He blinked, curious of this brand new sense and could not make sense of the blurred shapes around him. Sea Hunter simply cooed to himself and fixed his attention to the puppy closest to him.

deep in the pit of his young soul there might have been the waning echo of a long known warning to not go into the light! but when his eyes opened and the great blues met that of illuminated sight, sirmiq went charging forward.

head first and mouth agape, he was ready to meet his maker with a roaring appetite. only it was not his maker that he met, it was the ear and snout of his brother.

drool slobbering the sides of his now milk-teeth ladened mouth, sirmiq attempted to eat his brother alive, right then and there.
*sirmiq is voluntarily mute!*   >>   thoughts // "gestural language"

Soon he would be seeking out his own lodge. He would take the knowledge from his father and make a life for himself. Until then, Raiyuk would babysit whenever he had the chance.

He was not awed by the arrival of his siblings, neither was he jealous. He felt a strong sense of purpose—perhaps more than natural—and a brotherly attachment.

When he popped his head in to their sleeping place, he saw two ambulatory bodies and did not intervene. Raiyuk was grinning and watching, entertained by the one-v-one, and wondered if children could be born warriors the same way he was born a seal hunter.

There were several blurs of murky shades, flashes of paler hues. It was to the darkest blob that Sea Hunter blinked, unsure what he made of it all. In his uncertainty, he figured it would be in his best interest to taste these new colours, but it seemed he was not alone in this consideration.

To have his face consumed certainly came as a surprise, but Sea Hunter did not withdraw. He simply lay there while being mauled to death by some tiny toothless being, accepting his drool-laden fate.
