Pack Activity
to ensure that everything goes smoothly, this thread will be for the royal couple and the priests only. visiting emissaries are encouraged to make RO or open threads that will all be taking place at the same time IC. large group threads can get pretty unwieldy.

akashingo attendees: @Siptah @Makono @Toula @Gucci @Lilitu @Midas @Medusa @Jakoul @Khaba @Tavina @Nazli @Nala
brecheliant visitors: teya & @Sorana
mereo visitors: @Aquene, @Tierra, @Sybol, & @Reyson
kvarsheim visitors: @Taktuq & Bjarna (@Sonja also welcome ofc)

the wedding ceremony itself will be held atop the mesa. there will be a small raised platform where the royal pair can speak, followed by the night's dancing, feasting, and festivities held in the same locale. guests are also encouraged to explore the palace after the ceremony. consider tagging your threads with (wp) wedding party <3

the guests began to arrive earlier in the day. the fellahin were immaculate in their reception, offering refreshments and an escort to the top of the mesa. a raised dais of stone had been covered with lotus flowers, and it was here that pharaoh would induct his bride into divinity.
he himself was in good spirits, laughing, bundled away from @Treva while she and her own attendants prepared in her quarters, rooms to which she would never return. the spacious apartments of the queen would belong to her after this day, kept carefully dusted and refined for such a moment.
as the day grew to afternoon and beyond, a trail of white petals were laid from the path where treva would emerge to the dais itself, and it was here that ramesses took up his stance.
marble and gold, he stood glowing in the light of Ra, the dark kohl around his eyes deepening their blue.
"akashingo welcomes you as guests and emissaries of this moment. another chapter opens in the scroll of akashingo."
his heart ached, but he would not allow grief to sully this day. satsu had danced. he wondered how treva might appear.
"today i marry the queen ascendant. today she becomes divine, a speaker for the gods themselves." and through her would toula and sethnakht achieve the same.
ramesses fixed his gaze upon the place from where treva would come.
"i am the Morning and the Evening Star. and i welcome the chosen of akashingo to join me now."
behind him he thought he heard the tread of @Senmut and @Akhtar.

the day was long, just as it was short.

treva was peppered with colors of autumn and winter. soft crushing of red flowers dazzled fresh clean fur, the palest mink along her shoulders.

but so much had happened before then! she had been tended to in the wellspring. cleansed twice over. on the second time, she had cried. not sadness. not worry. not stress. it was from the overabundance in her heart that day.

love was not a word that frequently crossed her lips. it still did not cross her lips here.

but she loved akashingo, she loved her children.

all things given to her by none other than the pharaoh. the pharaoh who was undeniably being tended to elsewhere at the same time. the thought moved her time and time again, until she was prompted to calm herself. that tears would do no good on such a grand day!

she laughed, she agreed.

she was brought at once to her place. the last time it would be her place. the things stated above were given to her. the flower petals of fresh smells, the mink.

she swore she could hear his voice somewhere, filtered through halls and carried on the soft whispers of others. it stirred something in her heart and stomach. she would not cry again. she was the image of thoughtful strength. a hunter's streamline build, cloaked in all the colors of a festive thing.

feral goddess.

the very image of it now as she was ushered to move along. the time had come!

she moved with a hunter's gait, light steps and thoughtful movements. as if the Gods and Goddesses themselves, worshiped in akashingo, gave her their own grace today. it was with their strength alone that she did not falter before all the eyes.

but the most important eyes of all —

there was something to him now that she could not place. but still she could not falter, she would be before him with eyes only for him. enchanted wholly and utterly. she took her place like she had done more and more recently. words could not cross her lips.

she was enchanted, washed in the light of divinity and Ra.

satsu had danced. treva moved toward the dais with the grace of a hunter, a pantheress moving in the reeds beside the serpent. ramesses told himself that he must relinquish the past this day, that the last vestiges of the queen who had been must be surrendered to her holy golden throne in the land beyond this.
she glowed in a thousand hues and he saw the pale perfection of the pelt upon her shoulders, smelled the lotus which rose in crushed heavy perfume all around them.
for a long moment ramesses only grazed solemnly upon his bride. he felt the eyes of his children upon him, the five heirs to the kingdom of akashingo.
yet it was her steady greenstone eyes which mattered now, which both swallowed and buoyed pharaoh in this moment.
"today Ra blesses our union." he gestured to the sunrays, still glistening with gilded strength in the gathering eve.
his stare caressed the sweet and beautiful features of treva's countenance.
""i am Userma’atre’setepenre, Keeper of Harmony and Balance, Strong in Right, Elect of Ra."
he had said these words before. he must say them again.
"today you shall be given the titles of Great Royal Wife, Queen of the Scarlet Road. and i add to you a name to be alongside your own: mutnofret, She Who Shows the Beauty of Mut."
senmut stepped forward then, silently offering a red lotus to ramesses.
he set it between them, reaching forward to kiss treva's brow.
"i give you the uraeus of the holy gods."
his breath brushed through her fur.
ramesses bowed his head, kissing each of her paws in turn. "i give you the crook and the flail."
and now he met her eyes. "we rule as one."
his breath caught; he waited for her to speak.

she felt everything, everywhere.

she felt as though every life in the palace was somehow pulsing through her. every heartbeat a loud drum in her ears, but none of it compared to the wield of pharaoh.

his words weaved through her mind and heart. the gold of him filled her veins.

Great Royal Wife, Queen of the Scarlet Road.

mutnofret, She Who Shows the Beauty of Mut.

how did she feel so in place here? at what point had akashingo gripped her fully? or had it been a slow falling? these words became her lifeblood, they were the very things she stood upon in her day to day.

a red lotus, a kiss. ramesses' breath upon her brow.

kisses at her paws.

uraeus, crook and flail.

these things banded them into one. she did not cry again, she did not crumple beneath the weight of it all. she felt radiant. just as she had in the wake of motherhood. all of these things bathed her in light in their wake, even if the concerns and stresses burdened her before it happened.

she did not regret bringing forth two royal children.

she did not regret harboring such heavy attention of pharaoh.

everything felt right in her bones. the feral goddess had become tamed, subdued. comfortable in the place she now stood along pharaoh in reign of.

blessed and now we stand as one. she breathed, voice daring to hitch. i am devoted to you, to akashingo. let the eyes of all see it, day and night.

once a mazoi, now shabti.

she was not often a shy creature, yet she could feel it now. the grand desire for privacy as hungry eyes sat upon them. some known, some strangers.

i will be alongside you, now and forever.

not the first.

she prayed the last.

last for ram; will post w senmut after u <3

alongside you now and forever
the image shimmered and became satsu, and pharaoh was pierced with pain. reformation; treva once more, flesh-and-blood, living, breathing, and now limned with the divinity of godhead that could only be bestowed through pharaoh.
"we will belong to one another from this moment until the afterlife. and when we enter the Land of Reeds, our love too shall be eternal there."
his heart galloped, stallions upon the fearsome heat of sand a thousand miles and a sea away.
the goddess had become queen and still the ferocity remained aglow in her. he treasured it as he did each pearled word that fell from her lips.
"we shall dwell together upon our thrones in the light of Ra and the Goodness of Amun." ramesses' voice was filled with pride as he spoke. he turned with treva now. satsu had borne the names and titles of her own house, royal in her own right before she had built akashingo with him. treva would be gilded as ascendant as well as queen.
"so let it be done."
standing together for the first time as pharaoh and shabti, and he was enamoured with her, with how well the golden light of the gods' favour suited her fine features.
"akashingo. i give to your your queen Mutnofret-tiye-Treva, Queen of the Scarlet Road, Great Royal Wife, Queen Regent to the Prince Sethnakht of the Crimson Land and the Princess Muat-riya Toula of the Red Serpent. long may she rule."
for holiness had been given through her blood to them also now, and naming his younger children before this assemblage lended them the proper and formal recognition of their status.
time now, to remain upon the dais while praise filled the air and the priests arranged them in garlands of holy herbs and blossoms; soon thereafter ramesses stepped down, his laughter a billow of silk and his eyes rapt and honeyed upon treva herself.

how lovely, how sweet was it all. she flourished tenfold for it.

basked in the light of Ra and pharaoh.

"so let it be done."

her heart had turned into a war drum in her own chest! it felt like betrayal, to be so overcome by her own heartbeat that she could hardly hear the world around her. he spoke titles for her, for their children.

she could hear almost none of this!

but her eyes were for him. green soaking in the golds of his visage. even when she was being showered and decorated. all of it so much!

yet somehow nothing ever felt like enough when it came to shows between them.

now everyone was to witness it.

she laughed alongside him, vibrant and delighted.

how she wished to live in this moment forever.

for senmut, the procession, the scene, the rite: it was all so overwhelming in a precise and poignant way.

ramesses glowed as he came to stand between the priests, and senmut's heartbeat quickened as the pharaoh raised his voice to waiting treva. she was all the goddess it was whispered: a feral forest idol plucked from mossbed to now rule eternal alongside the lord of the red land.

they spoke to one another in poetry.

senmut wore the headgarb and badge of his office, but he did not yet feel like a priest. only the solemnity of the moment kept him grounded. he chanted lowly between each sentence, a timeless prayer against any ugly magick which threatened the union of pharaoh and shabti.

senmut draped them both in decorations of flowers. "Amun smiles," he whispered to them each, voice steady. he spoke for the god. he spoke for the pleasure of those who watched.

and when they descended, he did not immediately follow, stricken and pierced as he was by the energy of the night.
