Kinusi felt strange as of late. She was unsure were it a small dose of homesickness or melancholy. She was not sure.
She had always been a happy child, an imp. But as she found her footing surrounded by wolves she did not know. She wanted her dad. At least he would have gone out of his way to greet her. The wolves here barely knew she existed.
And in part that was her own fault. She had looked through the forest. And she had not sought out others. But her biggest folly she supposed was coming to a place where bonds were already forged and there was no place for her. She was a stranger looking in.
So kini did what Kini always did. She took a deep breath and she sang away her loneliness as she traversed through the forest listening to its secrets and it's stories.

it was a song that led the man towards his apprentice.
though it seemed that she, too, was moving, and so the man of the grove could not quite pinpoint her location. instead, his voice wrung out amongst the forest, a deep, almost-shout, saying:
when he found her, he said:

kinusi? where are you, söngfugl?his steps, heavy, thunderous upon the earth as he sought out the small girl. she had not come to him, so he would go to her and try to ensure that she was doing alright, settling in well, he hoped.
when he found her, he said:
there you are,and would put his nose to the crown of her head in a friendly manner, as a man does with a child under his care.
how are you?

Kinusi wasn't sure what to do with her time here in the forest. SO she listened and she watched and she sang. She sang her heart out. Hoping, well she wasn't sure what she was hoping for. But something.
Suddenly a shout peppered through the forest and she had to stop and orient herself with her surroundings. Aftetr all sometimes words and voices carried. And she was easily bamboozled by the forest and it's echoes. When she finally figured out where it was coming from she headed in teh direction. Perhaps they could meet in the middle.
She blinked surprised when he dipped his nose to her head. And surprisingly she felt tears spring to her eyes. She wanted to bury herself into his chest like she would with her dad. But she didn't. Instead she tooka deep breath and smiled.

he hummed, then, displeased that the girl had been lonely. had none reached out to her? perhaps it was the lorekeeper that had to be the bridge between kinusi and the other members of forneskja. thoughtfully, then, he said:
for the sunking was a given, but he could not distinguish who else the girl had met personally, for the scent of all forneskjans lingered upon her, a marker of her affiliation. sitting, then, he said:
for she should certainly prove to be worthy of the womens circle!
who, thus far, have you met?

i am certain that many would be pleased to meet you, söngfugl, they merely must hear your tales, your melodies, reassurance was thick on his tongue as he gazed upon the girl with a sort of pride, one reminiscent of a father with his daughter. curious, he spoke:
have you spoken with callyope, yet?
for she should certainly prove to be worthy of the womens circle!

A hum in the air. A melody she did not know, but it worked for him and she liked it. But she liked all music. She blinked who had she met.
Eydis, Luhtar, Callyope, Solharr and you. That was it. That was the extent of her visiting. Of her conversations. She had enjoyed them, but they had been sparse. The leaders made her nervous, because well Leaders. Luhtar seemed busy and so did Rokkur. And Eydis's scent had dispersed.
I did she was nice.
