Meerkat laughed when Nellie ruffled her fur and welcomed her to the family, as if she hadn't been here all along. Her eyes danced as Nellie turned to tease Fig, Meerkat's eyes tracking her movements and noting the physical resemblance to both Niamh and Bronco. It seemed a penchant for banter ran in the family too.

"Just Towhee," the youth chirped. "She spontaneously spawned me." She winked. Of course, Meerkat knew how reproduction worked and understood that Phox and Towhee hadn't actually mated to produce her.
