When she pulled back from the den and glanced at him, he regarded her almost shyly, though his features became slightly worried when his gaze dropped to her feet. They looked as though they had been stained, and now that he was close enough, he could see that what he'd thought before had potentially been blood, didn't seem to be coming from a wound. He didn't see blood seep, nor could he smell it; perhaps it was simply the colour of her fur, though it was an odd marking to say the least for her to have two coloured front paws. 

"Hello," He responded, drawn from his thoughts by the sound of her voice. How long had he been staring at her feet? Probably long enough that he needed to explain himself. "I'm sorry to bother you. I thought I saw...Your feet, I thought they were bleeding," He said, somewhat awkwardly. "I was going to offer help," He said, and he drew in a breath. He felt nervous, for some reason- perhaps because he was making himself look like a fumbling idiot. "I'm Adrastus," He supplied, as though an introduction might distract her from his bumbling greeting.
