She longed for the snow heaps to melt sooner so that a small wolf like her could move around more easily. That's one of the reasons, why she had not gone out to see Towhee again, because ploughing through snow for several miles was difficult and extremely tiring. 

"So, are you looking somewhere to rest your exhausted bones for the time being?" she asked him directly, since he had missed earlier hints of hers about his reasons of coming here of all places. "In that case we might arrange something and we have another Blackthorn here to keep you company," she grinned, thinking about Jackalope meeting Penn for the first time. Come to think of it, they were a little like one another already. Not so much in looks, but demeanour was similar.
