She might live to regret her decision, but in the sea of troubles, where most of her friends and family was swimming, she thought she deserved some entertainment. And this guy did not seem either easily flustered or someone, who would hang around, if he no longer had any enjoyment in staying. 

"Me and Penn are not the only people in this pack. There are others too to take in account and if they won't want to have you around, there will be very little I'll be able to do," she told him teasing a bit. "What are you good at?" she asked.
