he backpeddled a few paces, bright eyes inquisitive yet hesitant of the adult. fortunately for her she was a woman, and acrux had suddenly become unspeakably interested in the opposite sex.

she spoke of a woman in heat, and the boy gave a puzzled glance between the two ladies. "she was warm?" he asked with doe-eyed innocence.
