After, she lay in his arms, breathless and bare and lovely with the blush of a new lover. He laid kisses on the side of her mouth as the strong beat of his heart smoothed to tempo. His body felt strong, energized, imbued with the heat of their intimacy.

“I knew you’d be incredible,” he nuzzled, “after tonight, we will never be apart again.”  He pulled back to study her through the fringes of hooded eyes, grinning at their divine mischief.
