a howl, a song he didn't know. it rang through the wind, cutting above it's own cry. it made his lip curl in disdain—these rogues were getting brazen. but it wouldn't matter; he'd bring their heads back to place on pikes. 

what he found however, was a pitiful woman that smelled faintly of faust. he towered above her, his figure shadowed by the snow, until he revealed himself with a sneer. she was weak, and that leg looked worse for wear. 

she wouldn't make it. why would faust allow a weakling like her to walk among the rest? 

why should he show any mercy?
