brother! @Sethnakht  (but family who would be welcome all invited!)

the first thing the princess had ever lain her eyes upon might be a mystery to most, but never to her. it... no, they, would ever hold a piece of her. toula adored her reflection, and her reflection had a name: sethnakht. between the two of them, in these early days, they wanted for nothing. when they hungered, they drank; when they tired, they slept! should discomfort befall them, it was vanquished; toula marveled at this world that felt made for them.
she had known service from the start, as too did he. this was familiar. as was he. toula's bleary, soft blue gaze beheld him. her mother could not understand her words, just as she could not understand her mothers. but he... he must be able to understand her. they two were the same, in so many ways. aaah, she tried, in their shared language of babble. wise toula, seeking to learn. seeking to understand more. for now, she had him to work with... did she not?
all this was still so new. by the next day, she might forget this hour.

there had always been two of him. from the womb to their first breath and eventually their last. even before he could see the infant knew his mirror reflection, always beside him. she would sleep, and eat, just as he did. would cry for their life-giver, just as he did. her name was Toula and she was perfection.

now he could see her and despite his mind being too small to comprehend the feeling, Sethnakht marveled at how he would already do anything for this mirrored soul. his vision may be fuzzy, but his hearing had grown well over the weeks. his Toula called for him, so he must heed her cry.

struggling forward on fat, stumped legs, the prince finally reached his womb-mate. it had not been a far distance, as they were always together. he did not know it yet, but life would not always have it so. one day he would have to say goodbye to this perfect child, but not now, and not today. "toou!" his feeble reply as he tried, rather failingly, to make their noses connect.

he answered, and toula saw him move. his reach would accomplish nothing alone, but together! she would not leave him, and desired much the same as her mirror image then. it was a comfort, and her nose met his own in a show of her sisterly adoration. she remembered, then, that she had endured not a minute of loneliness in her lifetime. there had always been him.
toula was determined to have it no other way. a little paw reached out for his own, as though making a promise. perhaps it was, then. toula babbled to him, the soundnote familiar to one thing that they had heard in utero. more of a gurgle, then anything else.
