For four days Tiki had roamed returning to sleep or rest. But she could not find her brother. Another lost child of the spear. It ached. She had never been particular close with any of her siblings other than Pie. Which she found a little ironic as they had different moms. You'd think they'd be close to their litter mates. But ah it was not to be.
She settled herself on a nearby rock and she watched the sun rise.

While she hadn’t been looking for her, per se, Tiuttuk found Tikaani perched on a rocky overhang and sidled up beside her. She pressed her nose to the other girl’s cheek and then settled beside her, tucking a yawn behind a black forepaw.
She said nothing for awhile, just sat watching the sunrise in companionable silence. It was peaceful, though a quick glance at Tiki’s face reminded her of the disappearance weighing on her half-sister. Pie knew she spent a good deal of time away from Moonspear, searching.
Eventually, Treepie broke the silence to say,

Eventually, Treepie broke the silence to say,
If you want to keep looking, I’ll go with you. I’m not afraid anymore. She sat up a little straighter, steeling her spine.
I’ll go as far as you want, Tiki, for as long as you want.

Tiki startled. She had been lost in her thoughts. But she gave a soft whine of delight and then returned the whiskery whisper of a kiss to her sister.
Tiki didn't know what the world was coming. What she could do or needed to do. Where she belonged or why. All she knew was that things were slow and not right and she was unsure what to do. The spear she felt as if it were dying.
Tiki shook her head.
Tiki sighed and brushed a paw over her other leg.
You sleepy?

Tiki shook her head.
I think we are needed here more than there. Unfortunately. And I am not a very good tracker. I won't be ablet o find him. And i Might get u s lost and then where's that leave our parents?
Tiki sighed and brushed a paw over her other leg.

Tikaani gently refuted the offer. Treepie felt a small measure of relief, though she truly would’ve gone to the ends of the earth for her best friend. She caught Tiki’s eye and frowned thoughtfully at the younger girl’s words. She couldn’t argue with her logic, not that she wanted to do any such thing.
Reaching out, Pie rested a paw atop the one that restlessly rubbed at Tiki’s opposite leg. She patted it, then leaned to nudge her half-sister with her elbow. Supposing that was not unwelcome, she scooted in a little nearer and dropped her head to Tiki’s shoulder.

Well, the sentiment’s the same: I’m here,Pie insisted,
or wherever you need me to be.Tiki could probably feel her slight smile.
Mmkay?
