She had slipped away from Duskfire.
Into a land she had never seen before. Although it all still looked the same as any other open expanse in the north. Lifeless in color and she nothing but a stark bloodstain against the north.
It had become undeniable that something had changed. The nausea subsided into an increase in appetite and urination. Then, these last few days, it had become more outwardly noticeable. A subtle roundness to her stomach, the fur around it seemed as if it began to grow thin.
She had never experienced it before.
Yet something stirred fierce within her with this new discovery. She must guard herself as harshly as @Kigipigak would himself. She could not trust so freely or wander away anymore. Something had bloomed within her that was not just hers to do with as she pleased.
Yet...yet there was the smallest blip of terror in her heart. She had not been prepared so fully for such a life altering moment (she had no regrets, mind you, but the preparations had been little) that she nearly struggled to breath for it.
How she wished @Maegi was here to guide her. How she wished to hear the supportive voice of @Kukutux once again. At least for the latter she could nuzzle into the pelt that draped her shoulders. As for her mother? She could only desperately grasp for reminders after having lost her once more.
Perhaps her mother will return to her just as Kigipigak had.
Perhaps not, perhaps she is alone save for the wayward warmth of her husband. The cold, lifeless expanse suggested as much.
