She wouldn't do him the mercy of a quick death. 

Who knew how long his invasion of Sorina had taken? Who knew how long Galaxy had been gasping desperate gulps of air in vain as Titmouse fled? Tears pricked at her eyes, but she felt at peace as he continued to bleed, as he choked on his blood before her eyes. It was a monstrous sight, and she did not feel particularly good about this, but how many would she save? 

He gurgled. She could sense his last breaths were near. She sniffed the air; a snowstorm would be upon them very soon. No one would know. No one would find him. No one but Sorina, who wanted this, too, who knew he deserved this. Knew what he was capable of. 

She felt numb as she stared at his glassy eyes that would soon fully be glazed over. She had stared Death in the face many times to know she would see It soon.
