liffey... stopped this? in all the heat of the moment terance almost couldn't believe his ears. even god damn titmouse had stopped in his tracks, which was a good thing because terance would've fucking killed him(he'd decided, anyway). this wasn't typical behavior of the raven-furred beta, no ma'am, but there was a lot going on. his best friend and his family were being threatened, he felt obligated to protect. it was his job. maybe this was the wrong way of doing-- but terance did not fear the cerberus the way liffey did, he'd always had respect for them. and politically this is how they always handled this and... low-key? it always worked, didn't it?

whatever, terance's gaze flitted from liffey to treason, disappointed to see the leg not broken but also glad. mixed emotions.

"liffey... you're--" trying to start a family. this man was threatening them. would she rather this asshole roam free in the wilds so that one day, when she has a family on this mountain, small pups, he can reenter and kill them? that's all terance could think about. but... on the other hand, terrace didn't want to advertise liffey and rannoch's plans for children this go around. so he just shut up.

he wanted to fight this. it didn't seem right to him. morally? it kind of made sense-- liffey was coming from a good place-- but he didn't agree with it... not in this situation. this wasn't a 'omg we're gonna shove the blame on that guy and then fuck him over for no reason, hehe!' this was... this guy is literally coming for blood and we need to show him we won't be treated like that? we're not to be fucked with? something like that... terance juts didn't agree. so he hesitated, but he already knew he was in trouble, and he really didn't care to make it worse. he gave a short nod to rannoch, gaze understanding but expression sort of bothered. and with a low growl at treason and seabreeze-- not a mean one, just a command to step back-- terance grabbed redshank by the collar and yanked him up, then shoved him away. a louder and meaner growl rumbling in his throat now. "you heard her," he said, teeth bared.
