He followed not far behind his daughters, so that he may help them if things got into a tangle. At some point they caught up on her, it seemed, and he felt pride well in his chest at the sight of Alya snapping at the Redhawk's flank. Yet she got away eventually, spurring herself on with what was probably a good dose of adrenaline so that she may escape.

As she went too far from reach Charon slowed down eventually and called out to his daughters: "Good job showing that Redhawk dog, girls!" with pride evidently radiating from his voice.

Once her sister made a bid, Hydra kicked herself into the next gear to attempt to chomp at whatever else she could grab. If she landed anything, Hydra was not sure—in the next moment, the other had done as Hydra had and moved at a pace the girls, caught off guard, could not beat. It did not matter; they gave chase, until Charon spoke, and Hydra wheeled around and moved toward him with a panting grin. She nipped fondly at both of her sisters who were on either side of her, commending them with a gruff, happy growl and perked ears. Following her father had indeed been worth it, and he was as cool as ever in her eyes—if not cooler.
