the fortunate thing about all of his crawling was that it inspired a high number of naps in the young boy. he would scoot about on his weak limbs for twenty minutes or more before finding that he had exhausted his entire frame. at this point, deku would crawl back to the warmth of his mother and tuck himself tightly against her frame. then, with heavy eyes, he would fade away from that world and enter one that he had created all on his own.
in his mind, there were phenomenal things that could never have existed in the world outside. in his dreams, deku was the hero of every story that he conjured. it mattered very little that his imagination had conjured false images. when his eyes opened, he would learn what great things existed beyond his own mind. still, he found himself inclined to sleep more often than he did to play. in his sleep, anything was possible.
