After her time with Vaska, Vex sought out Kevalin. When she found him, she jerked her chin up and barked, Get up, it's time for more training. She would look him up and down, a strange hunger to her eyes. Then, a question, though she did not actually care what the answer was. How do you fare after our last spar?

He raised his eyebrow at her. He stood and followed her. Well enough considering. We should really look into getting a reliable healer. He stiffened his body and raised his hackles as she looked over him like a piece of meat. Here we go again.

Vex hummed, then chuckled darkly. Her uncle had disappeared. You mentioned once wanting to heal, did you not? Perhaps you could ask Arlette of the Saints for training. They were allies, after all. It would be beneficial, having a medic on the field.

Vex did not miss the rise of his hackles. You attack today, and I will defend, how does that sound, hmm?

Smirking, Kevalin nodded in agreement. I do like the idea of being more useful now that the kids don't need a babysitter anymore. Vex had gotten so used to defending her claim alone that she hardly needed him for that, so training a new skill would give him something constructive to do with his time.

That sounds nice... He eyed her with suspicion. Then again defensive didn't mean she'd hold back from attacking him or anything. He nodded in understanding.

Very well. Vex dipped her head, then beckoned him forward. Strike me. Show me your strength. She would stand with her weight evenly spread, head lowering to protect her throat as she watched him, waiting for him to make the first move.

Kevalin's brute strength was truly just that... brite strength. It didn't really give him an advantage unless he used his head. He had to strike quickly, and preferably somewhere sensitive. He wondered if she'd truly just stand there, or if she'd recoil into him at the last second.

He darted towards her, with his powerful legs he kicked off and launched himself into the air with the intention of landing in a mock embrace, taking her to the ground with him. He was hoping the sheer force of the blow would be enough to unsteady her. With any luck she would lower her guard enough for him to gain a few quick strikes in the ensuing tumble

The collision did indeed topple the Queen, but she rolled with it — literally, and kicked out to hopefully send the man away from her. Her teeth and claws would snap and tear at his chest before she scrambled to fer paws, and she barked, Good, good. Again! She could hone his skills, with training and dedication.

The man ran at the Queen again with a fierce snarl he opened his maw wide, aiming to clamp down on her flank, he would tear a chunk before darting away from her to circle back around in a veritable prance, laughing raucously. He always enjoyed a good spar with Vex. The blood that with would seep from his mouth would taste sweet as sap. He would run his tongue along his teeth baring them in a grin.

He was learning ferocity. Vex smirked, growling as his teeth sunk deep into her haunch, tearing away fur and flesh. She would strike out with that same side to shove him away, then cried joyously, Good, good! Again! She would begin to circle him, changing direction abruptly, so he might have less of a target.

Rolled 3 for damage, Vex has 16 HP, looks like he might win this one!
