It would be a lie if she said that Summer was remarkable, mostly because almost every wolf in Saena's life was black or grey, so another black-haired male was just the norm. Nevertheless, she watched him for a time, contemplating him and his as yet unknown story, before shrugging lightly.

"I think there's history here," she admitted, "I've seen signs that wolves were here, but I've never found one who knows about it. I thought, since you were here, you might know." She waved her tail slowly, glancing away as if to dismiss the issue, then said, "I'm Saena, from the plateau. You?"
