Lost Creek Hollow fishay fishay

It was already so excited, and the black fae couldn't help but wag her tail as she lowered herself to watch. She kept her eyes locked on his movement, and made note of just how slow yet swiftly he moved. Her gaze followed his, staring at his eyes before dropping to the water where he looked. She could see the fish and watched as they moved towards him. They were slow and fat, and shimmering brightly under the sun and water. Her tail wagged a little bit again as they swam closer. 

Luke struck, and she watched almost in slow motion as his jaws widened and crashed into the water, his teeth crunching into a wriggled fish. She leapt up as she watched him pull it from the water, her tongue lolling with excitement. "Look at you!" She exclaimed, sniffing at the fish when he dropped it down. She looked back up at him, tail still wagging. "What kind is this?" She asked, tilting her head. 

When invited into the stream, she scrunched up her nose, unsure of her abilities, but nodded nonetheless. She sure as hell wasn't backing down after watching him do it so easily. She stepped to the edge of the water and looked in it, viewing her reflection again before stepping in right onto it, rippling the image and scattering the colors. She slowly crept the rest of her body forward, and stood and waited. 

It took a while, since Luke has rescared the fish off, but eventually she could see the white scales shimmering close by. She did he best not to excite herself and scare them away, so she stood still and watching tensely. The fish neared closer and closer and, finally, they reached grabbing distance. She let loose her body and surged her head into the water to grab one. Her teeth sunk into something soft and she drew her head back. When she raised her head, tail wagging, she felt no wriggling in her jaws. She went cross-eyed to view her catch, finding only a small chunk of wood. Agitated, she flung it onto shore and sat down in the water, letting the icy waves wash over her. She crinkled her nose and stared at Luke. "I believe you cheated."
