She watched the little scene play out, and noted quietly how different this was to her last class. Spring was a bit like Esaro in a few small regards, but there was certainly no Tavi here (and, given what she knew of the girl, there would probably never be a Tavi here again).

Shreya was all mind, but that didn't mean she was no heart — she was pretty damn warmed by Esaro's gesture, especially given how shy and uncertain the girl seemed. This was going to be one hell of a lesson.

We'll be your friends, won't we lad, she sought inevitable confirmation from Esaro. Though I'm really more of a teacher. With that in mind, what I thought might be a good lesson today, given the season, is the nature of attraction and breeding.
