Her inquisitive pondering struck Glu in a strange fashion. He peered at her, brows narrowed, body tense, wondering why she would even question his lacking the desire to duel her. It was not simply because he had no idea who the pitch-marked woman was. The coywolf had better things to do than to occupy his time taking up warlike mentality with those who were intended to be his fellow pack mates. Confusion etched his features for only a brief moment as she seemed to rattle off something in another language – one he did not understand – and then met him with an expectant gaze. Considering her request and her obvious bewilderment at his decline, Gluska wondered what game he could make of their encounter. Narrowing his brows just slightly and watching her with cautious yellow eyes, he settled.
 
“Just look at me,” he remarked, gesturing towards his own frame with a toss of his muzzle. “Am I really a true test of your battle capabilities?” His remark was followed by a quick quirking of a single brow before he continued, narrow features turning sharp and thoughtful. “Would you not rather show your strength in a demonstration on someone who mattered?” A sly grin curled his inky lips upwards and he watched her with an expectant gaze.
