Within moments of arrival Hemithea knew she needed to find shelter. Her body was covered in icy water and the salt from the sea (usually a comfort) would dry out her skin if she wasn't careful. It was stupid of her to go swimming at such a frigid time; winter was harsh, and no less so for those that dwelled alongside the Mother Sea.

The sparse patch of sand she had found, dragged herself upon, would be gone soon enough. The woman would have an hour, maybe two, before the tide swept in. If she wanted to scour the coast of the dome-shaped island she would have to be fast.

—Alas, the stranger had made it ashore just as she came to this conclusion. He muttered something under his breath that, had she heard him, Hemithea would've probably ignored on principle. His introduction was met with an aloof turn of her head; Hemithea shook from her neck to her withers in an attempt to dry herself, and then began to saunter away from the stranger - Gabe - as if he wasn't even there.
