trouty-mouth. first velen had found it annoyingly snarky, now he found it oddly charming,a and couldn't fathom it had been so long since saucy had called him that. she matched his tone, his sarcasm, his gait; he found them vexing in a great way together, dastardly duo of stormrift. 
she laughed, she totally laughed; velen's tongue lolled from his mouth in a satisified smirk. so far, he was in the lead, even when saucy cut off her snickers to deliver another line his way. "mouselingulus," the boy chortled, his sniggering breaking into outright guffawing. 
"fine. fine. you win," he chirruped, nipping her shoulder gently before breaking into a run.
