ever since that quiet night at the quarry, hogo had a newfound interest in stars. he would deny the fact, still thinking stargazing was a little taboo, but the intrige he felt that night was still prominent. before he slept, he’d always tilt his head upwards and curiously stare at the night’s belt for a moment.
tonight he walked along the charred lands that neighbored the bay. it was offputting to say the least, but the light the stars offered comforted him.
there were to strangers in the distance. he hadn’t noticed them until one of their voices carried through the wind. the burning desire to conversation bought him closer to the pair. “hey, what’s up?” his native tongue slipped out so naturally and casually. it had been awhile since he talked to anyone so he had almost forgotten these wolves didn’t speak the language.
