Life was funny; somehow, Breccan and Deshyr were almost a year old. They were already in the adult ranks, and it was time to start taking on more responsibility. When he stopped by the den and Deshyr told him that Mom had left her on babysitting duty, he decided to go looking for Liffey. She wasn't hard to find; while he may have felt like he didn't have a calling in life yet, his tracking skills were pretty good. He was able to pick up her scent and follow her trail until he spotted her silver figure weaving through the trees up ahead. "Mom!" the boy called as he approached, his long strides eating up the distance between them.
