There has always been an unspoken agreement between the beast and the priest. She gave the lion's share of her kills to the man so he could feed his people. He would give said people to her for nurishment. This steady cycle had gone on for years. She never worried about him honoring his part of the deal until now.

There had been so many bodies to chose from in the past. That was no longer the case. The lack of food angered her.

The beast followed the priest's scent to the hotsprings. She stared at him, tail twitching expectantly.
