Redsand Canyon Hope

She senses his mood, her own his not so pleasant. When he offers half of the mouse she wants to refuse him, chew him out about the lack of warning, about his lie. But those honey orbs stare into hers and she caves, all of her frustration melting from her own sea-blue eyes. "Thank you." She takes the rest of the mouse in her teeth, their lips touching as he breaks the rodent in two to eat her half. Such a gentlemen. 

"Was there something you wanted to talk about, or...did you perhaps have other plans?" She asks as she chews, studying his strong form once again. She was starting to think he may even love him. No, remember what Mother said.
