Teeth snapped for haunches and shoulders, to which Sovereign responded by parrying with her own teeth, nipping for Maiken's cheeks as the teenager made a gentle attempt to wrap a thick foreleg around the shadow's shoulders - an effort to try and pin her, though not too forceful. 
She still did not seek to harm the medic after all!
