She wrapped her teeth around the rock and pulled it out of the hole, before trotting over to the geode. The two stones were similarly sized; it might take a few drops before Ajei’s treasure revealed its hidden beauty.

Shemesh just hoped it wouldn’t smash into tiny, purple shards. That would be bad.
