<333 Well shit. This was what Styx had wanted the entire time – to escape the depths of the forest and leave the coffee-coloured stranger to find her brother – but now he was having second thoughts. No. The coyote-wolf suppressed a growl that threatened to escape his chest, brows furrowed as he shooed away all thoughts of remaining with the girl. She seemed just as eager as he was to part ways, and the yearling wasn’t about to say anything that would change her mind. It was time for both of them to move on – she would go looking for her brother and hopefully find him, and he would just wander until his paws told him that he couldn’t move any further. The boy glanced over at the silver-eyed girl one last time, hoping to catch a glimpse of her mercury pools, but she had already turned away. With one last attempt to redeem himself and push aside all those stupid thoughts that had clouded his judgement, the hybrid offered one last retort before turning away: “You’re welcome, mudpie. Don’t miss me too much.” As the words fell off his cherry tongue, the boy turned around and headed in the opposite direction. After a few, long strides Styx broke out into a jog, pointed ears stretching to the sky as he began to search for somewhere to rest for the night- preferably somewhere as far away from the nameless stranger as possible.
