The further they spanned from the Creek, the more free the Alpha felt -- and restrained. The thought of the boys waiting for them tugged at him, and his concern might have been tightly masked, but it hammered in to his very heart with each step they took further away.

A light snow began to fall -- speckling his darker pelt with the promise that winter was only just beginning.
