Rowan's bumbled his way into the Sanctuary, so any Inner Cirle members (@Nico @Heartha @Eden @Aspen) are welcome to join! Alders off doing... Something... Idk, patrolling? *shrug* Other pups welcome too, of course, Hawthorn, Tiger, and @Rose <3
There were few things in life that Rowan understood, but one of those things were that he didn't much get along with his family. His father rarely even looked at him, Hawthorn liked to sit on him and shove, Tiger was pushy and mean.... Rose was a quiet girl, and this he liked - he was able to lay beside her without being bothered - though nothing compared to Aspen. The milk bringer often had to lift him away from his siblings when things got to be too much, saving him by allowing him the sole place between her forelegs. It was here, under her head, that the boy usually slept. He loved her dearly for this alone, even if she hadn't been the one to keeep him warm and feed him.
Today, however, he woke before them all. Taking his chance to go against the will of his family, the little runt squiggled his way from underneath Aspen's elbow and stumbled towards the only opening in the den. He waddled over no problem, but tripped at the mouth of the den, somersaulting into the tunnel with wide scarlet eyes. For a moment Rowan just laid there, sprawled on his belly with his legs sticking out at all angles like rays of the sun. He could cry about this, bring his mother running to save him.... Or he could be quiet, and keep going!
Obviously, he settled on the latter. It took a moment to find his feet again, and another to keep his balance, but before long he was creeping along the tunnel, pressed to the edge.
Getting to the end, the heir of Royal Fire Court stuck his tiny white face from the den. His little pink nose wiggled and twitched as he took in all the scents in here - scents he would one day be able to name as Shalon, Nico, Heartha, and Eden.
For the most part, he could only see the slab of rock leaning against the wall - the pup couldn't even see the top of the stone - and this only drove his growing curiosity.
So far, he was doing well, so why not push it further? Sticking one tiny paw outside at a time, the runt shuffled out of the den completely, looking around and padding just to the edge of the stone. From here, he could peek around the cavern he would one day know as Sanctuary. There was only one other entrance - this, he couldn't see, but he could feel the current of air, bringing new scents that were strange to the eldest Pryor child.
Rose was happily sleeping the day away as she usually did, tiny snores falling from her mouth in her slumber. She was content, peacefully dreaming until one of her siblings bumped into her and the russet girl's eyes sprung open. It had become a normal thing now to open her eyes, and she found she actually quite enjoyed this light that seeped it's way into the den she lay in. It was comforting and above all else's it was warm, and Rose favored nothing more than warmth.
Her eyes scanned the den for any sign of the sibling that had stirred her from her sleep and eventually they fell on the only moving thing in the area. Rowan. She did not know his name, she did not know he was the eldest, but she did know that this was a rare moment in history, because what felt like the first time ever, her tiny brother was actually quiet. Rose stared a long while at her older brother before finally deciding to wobble after him.
She eventually made it to his side and let out a tiny squeak as all these strange yet lovely scents came rushing to her. She pressed herself against her brother letting him know that she was here and that he was not alone in this scary adventure he had decided to embark on. She was by his side and she would remain there until Rowan decided to return home, mainly due to the fact that Rose herself did not wish to be abandoned. So she looked to her pale brother with wide eyes that silently asked, where next?

It hadn't been an exactly uneventful week for Eden, and at this point, there was nothing she wasn't prepared for. Well, almost nothing. She was headed to the sanctuary to nose around in her cache when the scene came to light, Holy shit being her only available thought. Eden stepped slowly so as to not frighten the young ones but took a small walk around them to take in the miracle. Of course, there were tears.
Sweethearts? she called out, hoping to at least get their attention, C'mon, let's get back to mama. She motioned for them to follow, but in reality she hoped they'd be a bit more stubborn than that. Eden wanted to savor the moment, the gift of life.

Anyones still welcome to jump in! :D
Rowan didn't know enough to be able to hear or scent Rose's approach, and as she squeaked behind him the boy jumped a little. The little russet girls touch, however, brought a very rare smile to the runt's face. He wasn't scared, not in the least, but it would be a lie to say he didn't feel more comfortable with his calmest sibling by his side.
As she looked at him, he nuzzled her shoulder - in the next moment, the ivory boy took another step away from the rock, this one more steady.... Only to see a white female, large and grown, padding towards them. His fur prickled in sudden nervousness, but this didn't stop him from stepping in front of his sister protectively.
Eden's voice was soft, soothing, and Rowan's soft puppy fur flattened out as she came closer - her words themselves were heard, but none understood. The motion was, but even then he didn't respond other than following her with scarlet eyes - he just got OUT, why would he want to go back IN?

Lily was resting but she woke to the movement of her sister and brother. She looked at them eyes wide as they scooted to the entrance of the den and a mischievous grin crawled across her maw.
She scooted towards them and gradually came closer and closer flopping herself on top of her brother and nudging her sister. She hadn't much care that right now she was on top of her much smaller brother. In fact she was quite proud of herself.
Then out of nowhere a voice called to them and her piercing blue eyes fell on a Wolf that she did not know. The wolf seemed to be trying to convince them to go back inside but rather than listen tigerlily let out an angry squeak in protest. No she wanted this as much as the other two her attempts would not be in vain.

Her brother's touch was comforting and Rose gratefully leaned into her sibling's embrace. He took another step forward and the russet girl was quick to follow, though the adventure went from exciting to down right frightening when some stranger barged in to interrupt their escape. While her brother and sister decided to play the heros, Rose had no intention of being eaten or swooped away by whatever or whoever this was.
The girl was quick to backpedal away and in her own rush ended up flopping on her rump. She let out a terrified squeak not for herself but for her siblings. She feared for their safety, this stranger could kill them and they were just laying there. She let out a cry for her brother and sister pleading that they go back inside to where their largest sibling and mother still lay. This wasn't fun anymore.

Seeing that she'd upset two of the three little ones, Eden lowered herself so that they were all level. Now lying on the ground, belly just slightly elevated, she began to slowly wag her tail. No, no it's okay, it's alright she said, trying to soothe them with a slightly less urgent tone. She smiled softly and contorted her face into a funny expression, eyes crossed and tongue lolling. She then relaxed and smiled once again.

Tigerlily. She had to ruin everything for him, didn't she? Her presence wasn't known until his legs buckled beneath him and she was crushing him. He growled meanly at her, wriggling and kicking at her furiously.
He took the oppurtinity of her reaction to slip out from under her, shooting her a red-eyed glare to keep her away from him... hopefully.
Rose fell back in the next moment as she tried to escape, and this made Rowan even more mad than his sister did - for now, Tiger would not be the one whom he took his anger out. He wanted to go to her, to help her up and comfort the only sibling that didn't abuse him, but Eden was deemed a threat for now and he couldn't ignore that. Even at such a young age, dominance and pride already ruled the eldest Prince's heart.
Turning his glare onto Eden, who was now pressed to the earth, the little boy charged forward a few steps, pelt flared and lips curled over the few milk teeth he was growing. Of course he didn't get too close, keeping what he deemed a safe distance from her, but also making sure his younger sisters were behind him. Eden's words fell uselessly, but he didn't react further, settling on staring her down, daring her to come closer.

Tigerlily smirked slightly as Rowan struggled under her weight but let out a few growls as he kicked at her forcing her to slide back onto her haunches. Her eyes narrowed in frustration she paused to assess the situation. The stranger wolf did not scare her but more annoyed her because she was in the way of adventure.
Tigerlily glanced back to see Rowan tending to Rose as she had backed off in fear. Tiger let out a weird chirp before scrambling between the paws of the stranger in an attempt to get past. screw her siblings if they didn't want to come that was fine but Tiger wanted to see what was out there.
She waddled clumsily and flopped face first a few times but she was determined making all kinds of noises as she moved.

Simply because the stranger decided to lower herself didn't make Rose any less fearful of her, in fact it did quite the opposite. From the russet girl's perspective, it appeared as if this stranger was about to eat her brother. And in one last desperate attempt to coax her siblings to her side, Rose let out her loudest cry ever. She hoped it would either drive off the stranger or wake her mother, but it wouldn't matter if either worked since her sister decided to scramble off.
Nope she was done, Rose wanted no part of this adventure her siblings were so bravely facing. She shuffled her way back into the safety of the den where she tried to snuggle next to her mother, silently hoping that her siblings wouldn't die out there.

Obviously there was no hope in trying to calm the pups, so she sat back up and away from the equally defensive and frightened brood. She sighed and shook her head before looking down at her own. You'd better not be anything like this, you hear me? she whispered before laughing and turning her attention back to the kids in front of her. If she couldn't get them out, then she'd watch them and make sure no one got hurt while they did their wandering.

Hawthorn awoke just in time to see Tigerlily scoot to the entrance of the den where he assumed the rest of his siblings were, given the empty spaces beside him. He blinked, opening his maw in a wide yawn. Lifting a paw to his face, he rubbed his eyes and squinted at the entrance, making out shapes and shadows. He debated with himself for a moment. Should he stay here and sleep next to his mother, or should he join his siblings on the little adventure that they'd decided to embark on? It was quick for him to settle on the former, given that he'd done a little exploring of his own that night, and he preferred to be alone anyways, finding it less annoying when he was surrounded by lesser beings, aka his littermates.
But just as he was about to close his eyes and fall back asleep, he saw with bright blue eyes the shape of his quiet older sister @Rose scurrying back into the den where she quickly tried to snuggle next to their mother. Hawthorn sensed that Rose was upset, or scared, but awkward as he was, was unsure of how to proceed. He had long decided he liked her more than his louder brother, or sister, but he never showed it, he didn't know how to, nor did it ever really cross his mind. Now, however, Hawthorn decided to go on a quest for bravery, much like his older brother and sister, but in a different manner. While theirs was purely physical, his was very much concentrated on the mind and emotions.
He shuffled towards her, careful not to squash her with his larger body as he poked her softly with his nose and inquired gently, with wide blue eyes and a small tilt of his head, if she was alright, and that he was here to protect her if anything happened. Hawthorn couldn't say all of that out loud, of course, given that he couldn't speak, nor could he accurately convey his muddled childish thoughts, but he hoped he got his point across anyhow, and he emphasised that with a small reassuring smile.

To Rowan, Eden's backing up somehow meant he'd won -- this alone was enough to quell the beast this time, and the heir child puffed out proudly in victory. He was not praised as a hero, however: Rose had ran off, and Tigerlily had made a stupid attempt at escape just to end up closer to Eden. Grumbling, the fed-up boy turned and trotted after his little sister, chosing to abandon Tiger to whatever fate chose.
Once back in the den, which he strode proudly into despite the fact that he shouldn't have been out, the albino Pryor settled himself at the closest teat to Aspen's elbow and fed.

Now only left with the tiny girl before her, Eden smiled down at her face.
If you wanna go, you'd better speak now or forever hold your peace. But seeing the child's struggle to get out from beneath her, Eden lifted herself from the ground to give a clear pathway. They'd warm up to her eventually, right? It's not like she was disappearing after today, so this wouldn't be the last time they'd see her. It would get better, right?

Tigerlily grumbled as words fell from Eden's mouth but did not comprehend in the little ones head. She gave up all apparently futile attempts to escape from the den and returned to her mothers side death staring Eden from where she lay. How dare she stop the pup from leaving. How was that fair.
She sulked in place for a while before dozing off into the land of dreams where she ran free through the forest. Some day she would be able to do that....someday.
