For @Havoc ! Sorry about the wait on getting this reply up, work's been kicking my butt.

A wide yawn parted his slender muzzle as Rory roused from an impromptu nap. The afternoon sun had been warm and cozy, and the pup had fallen asleep without any conscious thought in a bright patch of light. The sun had moved on now, leaving the forest shrouded and quiet. There was just enough sunlight left for Rory to see the clearing he was lying in; farther under the trees it was far darker.

He realized quite suddenly how exposed he was, eyes snapping wide from their half-drooping state. Rory scrambled to his feet quickly, ears flattening while he looked around for a place to hide for the night. Already, the far-off cries echoing through the forest were curling through the air, coming gradually closer.
I'm just a madman in a dark room.Seek the light to burn away the gloom.Reality is ripping at the seams.

The insane fox had come across the small furry lump some time before the sun began to set. His green eyes had been fixed on the creature with intent curiosity trying to figure out what sort of small black lumpy thing dies in his clearing, without the decency of stopping its breathing. It was really rude. Needless to say when the small canine awoke it caused the unstable fox to quickly flee behind the nearest tree. It wasn't even dead, that was even ruder!
He peaked out from behind the tree, a look of suspicion on his face, his brethren having already started their call far behind. Aww, the poor. ...thing. It looked scared.
You should know He called to the black lump I don't mind things dying in my clearing, but at least you could have stayed dead. Also next time stop breathing, dead things breathing isn't right. He moves back into the clearing, to get a better look at the ..thing.
