For @Acorn
The morning sun was just beginning to color the eastern sky when Akantha rose from her bed to seek out Acorn. The young girl had mustered the courage to ask about their Mothers, and the dark Amazon had a mind to teach her now. Their proximity to Her would serve them both well; Akantha was not the greatest teacher, but She was, and together Acorn would learn. Or she would not, but it was unlikely the remarkably brave girl would give up now.
She made her way through the mossy woods, following the sound of water, until she emerged onto the banks of a wide, shallow creek. It dumped into the sea a mile or so downstream, but here it was glassy and calm. She waded into the waters and threw her voice to the sky, summoning the tawny girl. Acorn, come and I will show you what you seek.
