For @Teagan
His paws carried him southwest, towards the mountains he had seen in the distance. He had carefully treaded around the other pack's territory, not wanting to pick a fight. After a day of exploring the area, the tall looming mountains had come into sight. The soft fiels he had been walking in for a while had disappeared when more of the cliifs come into sight.
Rest came easily to him, and when he woke refreshed, he had set out for the peaks. He sent little rocks crumbling down as he leaped up the rocky side, stopping to lap at the water near the peak. His pads were getting sore, and he had taken a break to feast at a mountain hare, a lucky catch. As he rest beside the river, he glanced up to the top of the seemingly never ending mountain, determination prickling at him to get to the top and see the view for himself.

He hadn't wanted to leave the Keep, having grown quite fond of his packlands and perhaps even some of his packmates too. But the familiar feeling of wanderlust tugged at him endlessly and if he was being honest, he should have expected it, given the fact that he hadn't been able to explore much since being recruited to Marauder's Keep by Warbone. For a few days, the coywolf debated whether or not he should take a short leave of absence from the pack. Then he decided to go. Fuck it. I mean, if they want this awesome package that goes by the name of Teagan, then they're getting all of me.
So that day, Teagan left the Crook early and made for the borders, traveling south west of the packlands. Like all the times when he'd gone exploring, the hybrid did not have a clear destination in his mind, he simply wished to leave the confines of packlands for a little adventure and, well, let's be honest, honest to god freedom. The pack was good and all, but in the end, Teag was a bit of a free spirit; he didn't do commitment. At least, not yet.
The fox-like creature hadn't gone far when he noticed another wolf around. Following the scent trail, the form of the stranger soon emerged into view and Teagan, without hesiating, let out a soft chuff of greeting, his lips quirking upwards into an easy smile as he trotted forward casually, wondering what reaction this wolf would have to his presence.

Slancio rested by the water, contently gazing up at the bright sky, all hues of bright blue and wispy white. Relaxed, he almost didn't notice the greeting the coywolf had chuffed at him. Yet his ears picked up on the sound all the same, and he heaved himself to his feet when he saw the fiery pelted coywolf approach him. The stranger approached at an easy speed, seemingly non threatening, and Slancio allowed himself to relax a little.
He tilted his head slightly to the left, a small question to the other male when he appraoched. Fixing a grin on his own face as the other males soft smile, he padded forward a bit, then drawled out a greeting. "Hey there, what's a wolf like you doing out on these mountains?" His tailed wagged slightly behind him in soft contentment, and he fixed the other wolf with a lazy smile.

Teagan watched with cool green eyes as the stranger rose to his paws and offered the Marauder a grin of his own. "By that, I assume you mean, why a wolf as hot as myself is climbing a mountain?" he drawled, a smirk tugging gently at the corner of his lips as his viridian eyes glittered with amusement. "Well, I'll have you know that I'm as fit as I'm hot; and as you can see, that means I'm veryyyyyy fit indeed." Teagan said, smirk growing wider with every word and shifted slightly, so his posture was carefully casually neutral, telling the stranger that he meant no harm unless the grey wolf intended to hurt him.
"I'm jokes, babe," Teagan said after a second, smiling in gentle amusement. "Nah. I'm here to explore. Pack life's fun and all that, but I'm a bit more of a free spirit and such, y'know? I decided to take a small leave of absence from the Keep and well, just enjoy myself and socialise with strangers like yourself." He wagged his tail, eyes gleaming with a mischievous glint. "Name's Wilde. Teagan Nicklaus Wilde, but everyone calls me Teagan or Teag. What 'bout you, handsome?"

I love how Slancio's name literally represents him. Music and Owls <33
The stranger's grin only seemed to widen before replying to his question. A small chuckle escaped Slancio when he heard the reply. "Yeah, sure, What could a wolf as hot as you be doing up here then?" He quipped, playing along. When the auburn pelted wolf smirked and said something about being fit, Slancio found himself laughing. "If that's true, then you must be very fit indeed." He felt a sense of ease. Slancio liked having friends, and having a companion up here in these mountains would sure be fun.
The quicksilver wolf grinned when the stranger mentioned joking, then gave his reason about being here. "I know that feeling, " He sympathised with the stranger, "I'm running a little free from my pack too. It's nice down there, but wild spirits like me and you would still like to wander around." Slancio was plesantly surprised when the other male introduced himself first, as Teagan, then called him handsome. Stifling a laugh, Slancio decided to go with it for now. "Nice name, cutie, I'm Slancio, Slancio Fukuro, "

Teagan rolled his eyes, smirking with an ease that could only happen when one has done it many times before. "Babe, you know I'm hot," he said with a playfully cocky tilt of his head, green eyes twinking with mischief. "No one can deny that," he informed the gray stranger, his features contorted into something in semblance of seriousness, but with the vague imprint of his signature smirk still on his countenance, he couldn't really pull it off. "Trust me, I am very fit," he said, a laugh rumbling from his chest. "You wanna see?" Teagan asked, wriggling his woflish eyebrows and flashing the stranger a wink.
"Yeah," Teagan found himself nodding in agreement with the stranger's words. "Not many wolves would understand though, so I don't tend to tell strangers that," he flashed a troublemaker's smirk at Slancio now. "You're special," he informed the Fukuro with a birdlike cant of his head. The smirk turned into a frown, however, when Slancio called him cutie. "Excuse me?" he said, his face now completely serious, and he would've pulled the act off if not for the underlying amused tone in his voice. "I am not cute. You can call me gorgeous, pretty boy or whatever, but not cutie, okay? Good."
Then his lips broke into a grin.

The auburn wolf rolled his eyes, quipping something about being hot. "I can see that, " Slancio laughed, playfully looking the wolf up and down. Teagan was well muscled, with fine features. He looked back at the wolf's face, watching it shift into something more serious, yet with the kind of arrogant smirk still in place. Jesting something about being very fit and asking Slancio is he wanted to see, Teagan chuckled. "I don't doubt that you're fit, " Slancio returned.
"You sure a lowly pheasant like me if worthy of seeing it?" He teased. Before morphing his face into a semblance of seriousness. When Teagan said something about understanding the need to wander, a small grin came onto Slancio's face. It was rare to find somebody who shared his love for travelling. "I know, " Slancio laughed, when the other wolf said that he was special.
Te other wolf seemed almost offended, before telling him not to call him cutie. "Aww, don't be like that, gorgeous. Not cute it is, then." He replied, fake pouting. "You can call me cutie though, I definitely don't mind. "

"Good," Teagan replied with a mischievous smirk. "'Cuz if you do indeed doubt me being fit, then, well, I'll have to go to huge measures to make sure you won't ever doubt me again," he told Slancio with a satisfied smile tugging at the corner of his lips and a glint in his clear green gaze. He rolled his shoulders, tensed and untensed his muscles for a moment before relaxing completely, flashing a somewhat apologetic look at the stranger and a lift of his shoulder. "They were tense," he offered as an explanation."
"Lowly pheasant, my ass," Teagan chuckled, amused. "A guy like you deserves to be a prince, sweetheart," he laughed, a warm noise that rumbled out from his chest. Then he smirked, "I, on the other hand, am the ever-handsome white knight," he frowned, "Nah, I'll be the enigmatic knight dressed in black that turns out to be a long lost prince," Teagan shrugged.
Green orbs gleamed with an unfathomable emotion after Slancio's words about not minding being called cute. "Well, cutie, you avaliable?" he winked, but otherwise remained completely serious.

kinda implying that Slancio is near Raven's watch, but not at the peak of it
Slancio relaxed his posture. "Wonder what those huge measures would be, " He smirked when the coywolf said something about them. He watched as Teagan rolled his shoulders, before offering an explanation that they were tense. Slancio shrugged, "It happens to everybody." He personally hated it when it happened, as he always felt sore and uncomfortable afterwards.
Teagan chuckled at his words, saying that he deserved to be at least a prince. "Maybe you're right. I could be your prince in silver armor," he gestured to his quicksilver fur, "with a cape of black and a shining white sword," He laughed, mocking swiping his white paws at Teagan. "Look, I even have a crown of gold," he spoke, combing a paw through the light golden fur at the top of his head. He snickered at Teagan's comparison. "Black suits you more, I'd have to say. You'd looked like a demon, with your fiery fur. Now if only you had red or blue eyes..." He pondered.
He grinned when teagan asked if he was avalible. "I always am, babe. But if you want to take me out, you're going to have to think of some place more romantic." He chortled, barely concealing his laughter as he snout turned to point at the peak of the mountain he had been wanting to climb before he had meet Teagan.

Teagan laughed as Slancio talked, speaking about being his prince in silver armor, draped in a cape of black while holding a white sword. "You don't need a white sword, sweetheart," he told him, a smile tugging at the corner of his lips as he leaned forward flirtatiously, a gleam in his vibrant green gaze. "I'll protect ya from the monsters and the demons and the little things that come out in the dark," he said, chuckling softly, his gaze, however, remaining resolutely serious, with a glint of something unfathomable.
"I'm a prince of hell," Teag lifted a shoulder in reply to Slan's comment about looking like a demon. "What can I say? You got me," the corner of his eyes crinkled in a smile as he straightenened, licking his lips. "Don't worry, darling. Next time, I'll book a romantic dinner by the coast, when the sun is setting in the distant horizon and the beautiful fiery colours wash over the beach; our furs illuminated by the soft hues. Sounds good?"

The atmosphere was comfortable and cozy, Slancio thought as he shifted into a sitting position, combing a paw through his fur to fix his slightly disgruntled appearence. When Teagan mentions he not needing a sword, Slancio raised an eyebrow. "It makes me look cool, " He shrugged. He pretended to gasp when Teagan spoke his next sentence. "You flatter me," He laughed, pretending to swoon at the coywolf, raising a paw to his forehead in a dramatic measure.
Falling to the ground, the quicksilver wolf laid on his side, reaching for Teagan. "You're hot enough to be one," he chortled when teagan spoke of beng a prince of hell. He twisted around the sit down, pushing himself up from his sideways laying position. "I'll hold you to it," He grinned when Teagan mentioned taking him out the next time, about having a romantic dinner besides the coast. "Just make sure you get the dinner part check," He muttered dryly under his breath, as thoughts of the famine struck him.

"Sweetheart, you look cool without a sword," Teagan said with a roll of his bright green eyes, a smirk playing lazily on his lips. A warm chuckle rumbled goodheartedly from his chest when Slancio pretended to swoon at his words. It had been sometime since he had relaxed so much around someone who was almost a complete stranger, and the coywolf still wasn't sure if he liked this feeling. He loved socialising, don't get him wrong, but there was something about pack commitments that restricted him somewhat on communicating with mere strangers.
Whatever. When have you cared about rules, anyways? You're growing soft, Wilde.
"I completely agree," Teagan nodded. "The other princes of hell are jealous of me, you know why? 'Cause I'm gorgeous, while they just have horns sprouting out of their skulls. You get me?" he laughed and eased himself into a sitting position, relaxing his muscles as he fixed his vibrant viridian gaze on his greyscale companion. "Don't worry, sweetheart. I'll definitely get you dinner."

"Awww thanks," He laughed, choking out the syllables. The conversation had far moved on from it's amusing stage, the easy chemistry between the two wolves lulling Slancio into relaxation. It had truly been some time since he had been able to just feel at ease with somebody, and he grinned at Teagan, revelling in the moment. His worries faded away for a while, leaving him lighter than he had been for a while. Perhaps he should not be conversing so easily with a stranger, and maybe his pack would frown, but he was having fun, and he personally thought that was enough.
"You'd put all of them to shame," He mentioned carefreely, laughing when Teagan mentioned the horns producing from the skulls of other demon princes. "I can see why they'd be jealous of you." Watching Teagan relax was a comfort, making him wonder if he was helping the other wolf release some tension like hoe Teagan was helping him. Shoting teagan one of the many grins he had already given the other wolf in the short time they had met. "I'll be waiting for you when you make good on that promise." He laughed, looking forward to their next meeting.
