@Ayer. Anyone else welcome too.
There's a time she thinks she should have kept going. Walked around the pack and continued to follow the ocean north, sandy shore to shore. The thought, however, doesn't quite feel right in her head and the newness of her home, while not necessarily a hundred percent, feels in place. Like most things, it takes time to adjust to, and until her next move is in place, she settles. The ocean will tell her when to move on but the rumble in her belly gives her a slight disconnect from her own reality.
With each footstep she takes north of the sentinel forest, a weight is added to her limbs. She knows her departure has little to do with abandonment and more searching, but it still doesn't feel quite right.
A set of pools are ahead and she finds her weary feet moving faster than she anticipates so that when she hits the water, the sand gives way beneath her weight and she falls face first into the water. Sputtering in surprise, she scrambles and claws her way out of the pool and on to wet sand. Wynonna shakes out her fur, but not before her back feet slide back into the water but she's at least on all four limbs again. She searches the rest of the pools, emptied from their usual predators, in hopes of finding something for herself.
